Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 26/2/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 26/2/2023.

Feb 2023 we previously had a big fall that took Steem down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Due to the low price drop and the continued support from you guys we managed to hit 43k before going into 2023. It could of been a lot better but we lost some support a long the way, although we also gained some so let's not be discouraged. Since then the price as gone up in the general market this includes Steem, a good sign yes but not for reaching our goal haha. However this doesn't matter as the point of us trying to reach our 50k goal is to secure and raise the price of Steem. Which is still selling at a accessible price for many folks, it's also being often predicted that the price of Steem will be falling again soon beginning of March, However what isn't going at a good rate is our average electrical usage charge, these greedy energy companies just don't stop milking people. This cuts into investment, many things have gone up in price, the new year didn't bring much better with the weather being colder and the cost of living spiralling upwards hitting hard. Many are left wondering when will it all get better? The bad news is most likely it won't, I mean it never as before so why do people continue to think there will be a reverse on these costs. Back in Jan I saw news articles asking the same question but later claiming that as we go deeper into the year the cost of living will go down. More articles since then claim the same scenario, well I don't ever remember hearing or ever seeing the costs going down, it always goes up, so good luck with that. Apparently the reasoning for all this is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

I didn't expect this year on being much better, people just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more doing horrendous things to each other, those in control up top are no better and also responsible for much of the hardship happening. Last night I went to sleep just slightly earlier than usual hopefully tonight I can do much better as I'm going to need it. In the morning I could of probably got up with the alarm but I decided to rest for longer since I didn't have work. However I still had the dreaded meeting to attend to for later so while I rested longer it was not too much as I still wanted to get a lot of chores done and many things online, I also logged on Steemit. I spend most of the day doing what I could before having to set off for the meeting. In the morning it was mostly sunny but cold as the day process it started to get cloudy real quick and so I expected rain and dreadful weather when I leave for the meeting. By the time I left the sky had cleared a bit there was no sign of rain but it was still pretty cold. This dreaded meeting in the end wasn't so bad especially when it starts with a ton of free pizza and drink. As for the actual meeting yes it was actually a lot better than usual and I'm not referring to the pizza here but it was actually straight to the point but not rushed at all, very usual but refreshing and so much better to understand what they wanted to teach us. They started by showing us they key metrics of the business out of about 15 or so items we was only behind on two. And since the results were mostly all positive it was announced that they are pretty sure "about 95%" that the business will run for at least another 2 to 3 years. Hopefully this will be the case and the main thing I wanted to know from the meeting I was very happy with that it was looking very positive. After that they talked about some system changes which "aren't great" I think in most of our eyes it's a step backwards, but what do I know eh. Next they talked about things they want us to improve on and the usual moaning section they do which actually wasn't that bad. There was no silly games or exercises again it was very straight to the point which was great. They finished by giving out silly prizes, this part is usually pretty boring because there a small set of people who normally win everything, however I was shocked that this year I won the 2nd from top prize. While that was very unexpected and I guess nice I however valued a lot more learning that we are very much on track for having a job Christmas year. When I left work the other day I remembered this time to check over the green patch close to home because the other night some idiots thought it would be a good idea to turn up on their "quad bikes" and do a ton of spins on the lawn. Now I get some people might find that fun, heck I would enjoy a quad bike but not on a residential area at nearly midnight making a racket when people will be clearly trying to get some sleep. Also the lawn is clearly not for these idiots to be quad biking on they done many spins and I could see earth flying about everywhere. Not only were these fools making a noise but a mess, and so when I checked I was surprised not to see earth all over the place which does make me wonder if someone cleared it up a bit. However there was definitely tire tracks all over the lawn, again I'm surprised it was not it a worse state, it's not the first time this as happened but hopefully they won't turn up again any time soon. It's been reported that it's going to get much colder again in this last week of February and so far they haven't totally wrong however people did point out that the so called snow bomb never happened when they previously mentioned it, well so far no snow. I was surprised to learn the other day a colleague had taken up a higher position he was put in-charge for the evening, he sure kept that quiet. While this is great for him it does make me a little uneasy this is because I see him more as a friend than work colleague and what often ends up happening is most people here get a taste of power and then go berserk and start to talk down to you. I would say there was probably only one person who didn't chance and in my opinion this never impacted their work which is always the excuse to why they must now treat you like a low life.

As for Steem there as been a few changes when it comes to the Steemit Team and it's booming support, communities have been separated into different tiers, there are so far 3 different tiers which means there is more opportunity for other communities to take part. There were nearly 30 communities putting themselves forward in the hope of getting booming support from the team and due to the extra tiers it seems all communities that applied have been excepted. Steem took a big fall ever since the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. What I like about Steem is it still offers so much opportunity for those investors who realise the enrichment that comes from holding such a token. In one way I wanted the crypto market to remain on the lower end for a while longer, this is to try and get some discounts on various cryptos and in turn hopefully getting a small ROI with Steem. As for TRX there was also a drop in price, there was also a halt in receiving these TRX rewards for a few months. I believe that the issue maybe resolved now however we probably receive TRX rewards less often, perhaps only when reaching a certain amount like for example 30 TRX in order to put less strain on the system? There is also much talk of the government bringing out it's own digital currency this is something many had predicted years ago and in 2025 they are going to try and put it forward with a release expected in 2030 but it wouldn't surprise me if this happens even sooner. They have also announced that they are blocking many people now from being able to buy crypto via their banks because crypto is volatile??.. LocalBitcoins as very sadly announced it's fall after a decade of service, in the statement it's said this is due to the crypto winter market but the real culprits are likely the authorities as there sure seems to be a lot of services falling due to draconian rules, it looks like Binance is being another target. Also the International Monetary Fund has been urging countries not to adopt cryptocurrencies as legal tender due to their higher risk of instability which sounds like a poor excuse. They have previously criticised El Salvador’s move to become the world’s first country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender but this idea has since then also been copied by the Central African Republic.
