How do you get noticed?

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

It is weird that I joined steemit a week ago, in thay week with very little time and effort I made £50.

The good news is everything I make from steemit will be donated. This isn't a lot of money.

Everyone is trying to post, many read but won't give upvote, even if they like it. Why? Cause you don't have a picture of a hot lady, you're not the same race as them, you're not a celebrity who is already millionaire and you give them the support where they only get richer and richer.

I want to know why not like a good content of others regardless of age, gender, race or fame.

Without it all or mass following, when you have good content everything about it is perfect how do you get noticed?

I'd love to hear back from some of you amazing and loving people.

For those that just look and move on 🤗

EDITED

During my discussion with my new friends in the comments below, I discovered answer to my own question.

How do you get noticed?*

Steemit needs to limit each user to 1 post per day and rational is explained below in the comments, so feel free to be nosey.

The behavior is a problem indeed, but limiting everyone to 1 post a day isn't the solution at all.

I've been on Steemit almost two weeks. And notice the dumbest stuff with lots of up votes. I'm kind of confused as to why some of these articles are accumulating so much money. It definitely is frustrating when you feel like you put time into your article and it's completely ignored.

I've been here a week as well, and suddenly noticed a deterioration in the quality. I hope this changes, it is looking unsavory!

Yes! Everyone is just publishing, not even sure if people are reading. There is some amazing stuff out there. People are stingy with follow/upvote... yet I noticed if you have ladies pic up or you already a famous millionaire. Othets chase them... why? I'll never know

Well I am a believer in quality. My third post was extremely personal and difficult to write about, but I had found this community and decided this was the platform where I would possibly make the most difference and bring awareness to a crisis in the world happening right now. The support I received was humbling, and made me fall in love with the steemit community :) I truly hope we can get back to the honeymoon stage ;)

Rest of our lives should be like the honeymoon stage, I wrote a post with hint of personal life and strong desire to help others, giving them the opportunity. I was planning on writing more, but the comments I recieved about the whole thing being scam. I just felt heart broken. Now I just see a post after a post.

Steemit should limit every user to 1 post a day, so we can get more quality over quantity.

Oh no, really? I'd say unfollow those users.

Don't let them get to you- there will always be haters. Rise above.

I 110% agree with you, I am here to talk my stories, share my secrets and adventures. The funny moments, the sad ones, the kinky ones, my first purberty days to learning about teenage days, the first kiss and much more... I have lived an interesting life and want to share a lot... (Just wish my partner doesn't join to see the naughty parts of my life on here hahaha) She'll be shocked by some of 4 ways funs and so on.

I am not sure if sharing is a good idea!

LOL!!! I think you may be correct- some things might be best left unsaid!

Hahahah - sometimes my excitment takes over and want to share a lot. This sharing is not focused on just for the sake of sharing but what were the rationals, why and how I ended up what did. Analysis of full situations but then again. Better left unsaid no-one wants to know why and how about 4 way ***. Or other such adventures.

I lot of views will be people wanting to know how to get noticed but not hear to read crap. But I'm asking a question here...

That is a good question how do you stop all these bunches of new people from just posting loads of crap. Also I want to see this community grow in quality because I'm loving it here there are great people here.

I do agree some aspects of this community are brilliant, there is a lot of rubbish sometimes good things are missed. Maybe 1 post per day should be a limit per user.

Even 2 or 3 might be fine

There is increase number of users but not enough readers. So my rational behind 1 post per day is, it would encourage people to product more better posts, others who are here for the money, will make rest of the money by commenting, and upvoting others. Building relationship with other members. Rather than being famous already on youtube, and other platforms where they making thousands anyway then coming here, bringing their followers and posting like 10 - 20 a day. Too much does not give a lot of other people to shine.

That's a solid idea I resteemed your post.

I've noticed, thank you - I am following now, any post of yours I see which I like, will definitely give upvote and resteem it. Lets build a wall of success by being each others brick. One brick alone cannot make a wall.

I'll try not to disappoint 😀

I think much of this may have to do with the recent changes to the power of upvotes. Just a guess, I am still pretty new to steemit myself though.

Yes, we are figuring this out but I feel at disadvantage because I am not on any other social media sites. Everything I am building is here... I want to share some amazing stories but I see no point when readers are not showing love.

The amature in me says, "Post on my friend. Then you will have a ton of content to keep readers busy when they find your steemit."

The smart kid in me says, "emulate the success of others".

But then again, my wife (who is doing well comparatively on this sight) said, "join the chat, say "hello", and then join a few groups and watch your number of followers / upvotes go up".

Thats a very good advise and supportive wife... Where I am its nearly 5am here... My wife says get to bed you silly man hahaha but I'm like I am trying to bring bread home
