Thanks for doing this. I think you somehow managed to stay undetected because the amount you used from the reward pool is negligable, if someone tried to do this with a significant amount of power he would get detected instantly.
However detection doesn't mean the experiment can't go on and on, the only way to counter this is to downvote content, the problem is that there is no real incentives for people to downvote stuff as there is no curation rewards. This is why having a moderator class where people can only downvote is important.
