"Bandwidth limit exceeded. Please wait to transact or power up".

Wut?

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?

I've seen posts about this written by:   @rainchen  and    @greenman81

The problem is I don't have any fucking cryptos available...

they've both had to invest a small amount of something to power up, but WTF IS THIS? I can't play like a retard for a week and come back on steemit and use it normally because "the fucking system" does something automatically? Can I deactivate this or I should just quit steemit because I am not in full control of it?

Also, I've seen a disturbing comment by  @enginewitty : " Happens too when you piss off a whale, somehow they have the power to mess with your accounts. Going through it right now. "

Well, I really hope this is not true because the fucking whale, which is actually another fucking human who probably had the luck to hear about steemit sooner then me, should not have the right, or the possibility to touch or fuck my account in any way.

If anyone could tell me the truth about this, please do so... But I will probably get the fuck out of here if "the system" does shit automatically with my account or if the fucking system allows random people to fuck with my account just because they have more "power".

Take a breath. Relax. Lol. Steemit isnt run by just 1 person with a server and unlimited money like reddit or facebook. Everytime you comment or post something, it takes $ aka steem power which is steem which is usd. You are given a free amount of steem when you sign up. But if you are making blogs and uploading pictures and such, its all happening on the blockchain with transactions, moving money all around. Give it some time, take the chance to brainstorm for your next blog or find new people to follow. It is a good thing that bandwidth stops you from posting and such, cuts down on spam.

@smartphone Ok, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I am chill now... But NOT FOR LONG... lol kidding (the description of my blog says I am a sad/mad person...and it's for real)

So, for now, I really don't give a shit about what money is to be made on this platform. The only thing I am interested in is to write my stupid, neurotic crazy thoughts without the risk of being censored by anyone.

What you are saying basically is this thing is acting like a transaction which is on hold for verification? I got that right?

From my understanding you get so much bandwidth based on your steem power. I do not know the exact process down to the coding. Tho, it saves a draft always so if you cannot post just wait. You could also type up your thoughts on a program like word or such and then post when the bandwidth has cleared up.

I actually I do that already because my first steem post...didn't get posted... and I spent like an hour or two on it... Thank you very much for clarifying!

Yeah it happens to me too. First time i was confused as heck and thought the same thing "bandwidth what!? Wtf does that mean, this site sucks." But i love steemit.com!!!!

I have not seen this message before, and I have more SP now than ever before. Neither have I seen multiple people suddenly posting about the identical problem.

For these reasons, simply not having enough SP to transact does not seem like it is likely to be the reason. Due to the occurrence on multiple accounts at once, and to my SP being at least 10 times what I have read is the minimum necessary to transact.

Therefore I am still thinking that there was something else at play.

You've been UpVoted via the UpVote Experiment 002 Bot. Depending on my VP & the price of STEEM you should get a $.01-$.03 for your trouble.
Read more about this experiment here.

Thank You - @blueorgy

I was locked out today also. BS. worst part, if you don't own any crypto, the bank will take 4-5 days to get the money into Gemini and then to Steemit. I am also frustrated.

I also just posted the exact same problem. I think there is a problem with Steemit or the blockchain, not something personally to do with us.

I dunno, though, and do wanna know. Lemme know what you find out please.

Looks like someone made some light about it in my comments. Now I'll just wait to see if I got it right or not.

The truth according to the WP is the more SP you have, the more transactions you can do per unit of time. You probably just should try latetr

Mine said this this morning and was back to working later on in the day. Not sure what happened. Hope your account is up and running soon.

Everything is working properly now. Probably the network got scared of my rage or something lol.

BTW, congrats on the 500 followers mark!

lol probably 😜😜😜
Thanks so much!!
Hope you're having an awesome day my friend

It's getting better

Thanks for adding another bit of information. I assume you haven't recently powered down, or otherwise have diminished your SP? I know that I haven't, nor have I been posting rampantly lately. I have actually been posting a bit less, as works takes more of my time.

So, an interesting event, affecting at least 4 accounts today, that I am aware of, with no known cause.

I had not powered down either. I saw quite a few posts yesterday about it. I wonder if it was just a glitch? It made me really sad for a while lol. I need my steemit ;)

@valued-costumer Whatever it was, I hope devs will figure it out... I hate it when I put my hopes in other people but what can a user do except report the problems to the community? :/

Exactly. It is disconcerting to suddenly be unable to post or comment. It's like waking up in that song by Metallica "One".

Wish you a happy birthday friend wish you all the best enjoy thid beautiful day
