How to find the meaning of life. Say "Yes" to Life.
Say "Yes" to Life. Be happy!
I continue the story of the books and concepts that have changed the lives of millions of people around the world (including mine). And today we will focus on the book "Say "Yes" to Life: A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp" - A product of the famous psychologist Viktor Emil Frankl. Fate decreed that he had to go through the harsh reality of the German concentration camp Auschwitz (Oswiecim) during the Second World War. Freed, he published works that prove our greatness will to live and a constant presence in it a certain sense.
From time to time, we visited the frustration, futility of existence and melancholy depression. They can be caused by global shocks and minor problems, the number of which was at some time critical. In any case, there is a feeling of remoteness from reality and life loses all meaning …
But let's think about what is the "meaning of life"? Meaning - this is the answer to the question "why?". Why do we live in this or that moment of time, why there, why trust and move on.
And if it's quite clear that there is a logical question - how to find a WHY, for which we will overcome today's challenges and experiences? For the sake of which we stand, we stood up and continue to live with renewed vigor?
The best answer is an illustration from the book of Viktor Frankl. In his work, the psychologist noted striking fact. He noted that in the hell of the concentration camp conditions, strong-willed people survived more often than strong body! Most survive the people who saw and believed in the meaning of its existence.
But, my friends, you might ask - what can be the meaning of life for people on the brink of death? How can they believe in something, if every day they wake up fewer and fewer people? What they can expect if they are constantly plagued hunger, cold, physical pain and humiliation? How to find the meaning of life? The answer is …
...Think of the meaning of life! Yes, yes, you read that right! You want to find the meaning of life? Think of it! Think of it not for the whole life, but at least for a short period of time! Find it, why do you take the next step forward!
Do you know, that came up for themselves prisoners? You know what they are, for example, saw the point? To live up to the morning, to see the sun. To live up to dinner, to enjoy some warm food. To live up to the spring, to smell the awakening of nature. To live up to the night to go to sleep and dream of a past life!
Friends tell me if these tormented people in these hellish conditions, could afford to come up with the meaning of life, were able to believe and move forward, are we not able to do it?
Are we well fed, warm and prosperity, can not cope with our problems? Are we not prevail stupid depression and do not find something that makes life worth living? Really?
Of course we can! Of course you can! And when the next time you notice a negative thought, you feel depressed and discouraged - remember those who were in the concentration camp. Think and decide firmly - it's really something you have to live for !!!
For love, for the sake of our family, for peace, for the sake of the sun over our heads for the sake of a stranger smile, for a sip of the free air! There's a meaning! And you can choose it for yourself!
Therefore, never give up, be sure to check the book of Victor Frankl's Say “Yes” to Life (It is very small), and believe in yourself!

Great article. So true
Think it's rather stupid. Just like people like to believe in god, in aliens and santa claus. People are good at make believe, but that's what it is, an illusion, believeing in something just for the sake of it. It's much more powerful to acknowledge that we don't and can't know everything.
Keep up the good work!
