I have been a steemian now since November 2016.   It has taken me just over a year and  a few months to finally officially reach a 69 reputation on steemit.      

Reputation scores on steemit are important in letting curators know you activity level and quality of your content.    The highest scores right now on steemit are in the high 70's.   I believe the top spot is held by @steemsports with a rep over 78.
