Steemit Update [October 11th, 2024] : Steemit Learning Challenge - Applications Invited for Season 21

in #steemit26 days ago

We hope you have all enjoyed Season 20 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Season 21 of the Challenge will be starting later in October.

Applications are now invited for the new season.

The introduction of the Teaching Teams has brought renewed interest and purpose to the Challenge. Season 21 will see the completion of this transition with a change in name to the Steemit Learning Challenge.

We hope the community embraces this change and as many people as possible take full advantage of the learning opportunities Steem can now provide.

The Steemit Learning Challenge is very much a feature that we hope will attract new people to the platform, both learners and teachers. Please tell your friends, families and colleagues about it.

How to Apply for Season 21

We are inviting applications from Teaching Teams.

Teams can just be one person - or they can include one assistant to help with marking assignment posts if they want.

Each Team should cover a particular subject area that they have specialist knowledge of such as photography or crochet or baking or spreadsheets or gardening or painting.

Teams will be expected to deliver a lesson in their subject area each week with a corresponding homework task. The six weekly lessons should ideally form a cohesive course in their subject area.

Teaching Teams should make an application post including…

  • the subject area they want to cover
  • details of their experience in the subject area be it professional or hobbyist
  • three examples of the weekly lessons they would include in their course.

There are no restrictions on Steem Power, Reputation, nationality, language or community affiliations.

Posts should also contain the contact details (Telegram/Discord) of all applicants.

Posts should be submitted by 11:59 pm UTC, on Thursday, October 17th, 2024.

Application posts should include the tag #teachingteam in the first four tags.

Checking & Grading Posts

Teaching Teams should promptly check all assignments.

They should each have a standard comment and grading format that focuses on the quality of the post and how well it has met the requirements of the assignment. It should also include suggestions for improvement.

The comment does not need to include any other information about club status or beneficiaries etc. The only checks needed are for plagiarism and AI content generation.

Teams should review and grade participants’ homework posts promptly. They should have a wide enough spread of marks out of 10 and give detailed commentary on how posts can be improved. Good marking comments will be rewarded appropriately.

Homework posts from students following each course do not need to be posted in a particular community and should instead be tracked through the use of appropriate tags.

Selection of Weekly Winners

Each week we would like the Teaching Teams to make a post announcing the 5 best assignment posts for the week.

All the weekly winners, as well as the announcement posts, will receive extra prize votes from @steemcurator01.

We are looking forward to reading your applications. We hope there will be a good range of subjects offered.

The exact number of Teaching Teams will be determined by the quality of the applications received. It will likely be a few less than Season 20.

The Crypto Academy will continue as one of the Teaching Teams.

We hope everyone will enjoy #learningwithsteem.

Thank you

The Steemit Team

Steem is increasingly good and interesting for many people to follow because it is one of the social media that provides courses and new knowledge for its users, those who take the course also get additional rewards in the form of votes. So great are the favors and opportunities provided by the Steemit platform that it is a pity if it is not utilized.

To be honest, I want to take as many courses as possible provided in season 20, but unfortunately because last week I had a high fever illness so I could not participate.

I hope the courses provided in season 21 have more interesting challenges and the tasks are easier for everyone to follow.

In addition, I also hope that there are certain courses given for skill development for teachers, because considering that there are many users who work as teachers and are actively writing on the Steemit platform every day.

Congratulations on bringing a quality content. You have earned a positive vote from team 2, and it is delivered by @starrchris.

Many Blessings...🙏🏻

Thank you for the update! This week, I participated in a relevant contest from the Steemit Learning Challenge, and it was my first time exploring new ideas. It’s been a great experience learning and trying out new things. Looking forward to more exciting opportunities like this in the future!

Thanks for the update

I find it very interesting and useful, although I cannot participate, but I will be able to have information about these areas.

thx for the update

This is a very interesting and informative post providing awareness about (Season 21) of Steemit Learning Challenge. The purpose of this challenge is to promote learning opportunities in the community and attract new people to the platform.

Academic teams specialize in specific topics and present one lesson each week followed by homework. I will also share my expertise with others

This is truly a golden opportunity especially for those who want to further their knowledge and share it with others.
