Steemit Update [ September 16th, 2024 ] : Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 20 - Week 2

in #steemit3 months ago

This week we move onto Week 2 of Season 20 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

This season sees a much increased number of Teaching Teams and Challenges.

We are delighted at the range and quality of courses that are being offered.

To encourage as much participation as possible a significant proportion of all sc01 and sc02 voting will be directed towards these challenges and teaching team courses.

This is a unique offering from the Steem blockchain - take advantage of it !

Steemit Engagement Challenge - Season 20

Here are the Challenges and Teaching Team lessons and assignments for Week 2 of Season 20…

These courses and challenges will run from today until 11.59pm UTC, on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.

You are free to enter as many as you want.

The more you participate in, the more chances you will have of getting votes from sc01 & sc02.

The hardest courses, with the fewest participants, will likely get the highest votes.

Steemit Engagement Challenge Rewards

The Challengers and Teaching Teams must ensure they promptly check and comment on all challenge entries and assignment posts.

The primary focus for the comments should be on how well the requirements of the challenge or assignment have been met, and most importantly what improvements could be made.

The post should be given a grade out of 10.

Challengers and Teaching Teams - please ensure you have a suitably wide range of grades to fully reflect the variation in quality across all submitted posts.

As a footnote to the comment no plagiarism or AI use should be confirmed.

At the end of each week all Challengers and Teaching Teams should make a post announcing the five people who have produced the best challenge responses or homework assignments.

All the Season 20 weekly winners, as well as the announcement posts, will receive extra prize votes from @steemcurator01.

We are very happy with the level of participation during Week 1 of the new style Engagement Challenge.

The expansion of the Challenge with such a wide range of Teaching Team courses offers something for everyone.

We really hope as many people as possible take advantage of this unique offering on Steem.

Where else can you take so many different courses for free - and have the high chance of being rewarded for your learning endeavors?

Thank you

The Steemit Team

FOOTNOTE

With the advent of the Teaching Teams we are seeing the emergence of farming accounts again as we did in the early days of the Crypto Academy when votes from sc01/02 were more guaranteed.

Now these farming accounts are joining forces with AI.

We ask all members of the community to be on the lookout for AI farming accounts which will try to interfere with everyone’s enjoyment of the Teaching Teams.

Thank you to @aneukpineung78 for bringing this to our attention today.

Only here on Steemit. Nothing is free elsewhere talk more of being rewarded. I was opportuned to attend a webinar last night which they advertised that it is for free, only to be asked at the end to join their academy for $100 which they even said that it is usually $1000 to $5000. Imagine that!

Steemit is the best place to be. I won't hesitate to keep advertising this new style engagement challenge to my audience on my other social media platforms.

I appreciate all the teaching team members and the individual engagers for the commitment they are showing. It is one to be commended.

Thanks to you Steemit team. It is because you are always thinking of the best way to help us live better lives as steemians that you came up with this and many more. I personally appreciate you all.

We move!

I joined the previous week in the Spreadsheet Essential For Beginners (Spreadsheet Overview, Spreadsheet Interface & Basic Formulas) by @simonnwigwe.

It was pretty fun, it was something different from the content I was used to see. The course was well written, clear descriptions and explanations.

We live times where these Digital Skills will help in almost any field, as soon as I've seen this week's challenge by @josepha, I started working on my post and joined after.

P.S: If you are reading this and didn't join any challenge, scroll up and pick one, you won't regret it.

Indeed this is very true, we can't find any platform like this. But I have a request:
With due respect except programming courses, app design course, graphic design course and hard Database and steem crypto academy course, all others are just theoretical contests, not course.
Fitness one is not a course, its called activity.
Hematology one is not beneficial for steemit users, and it's not a course too. It's just like again studying in university or college.
Agricultural one is good with activity but not for all.
Same for the sewing and cooking challenges, and the painting challenge not for all.
Why there is no opportunity for all users to participate in any of challenge they want. As per the sentence by the team:

The more you participate in, the more chances you will have of getting votes from sc01 & sc02.

How we can fit here. I am getting difficulties in this season chosen topics and I am requesting because these have to stay for coming one month.
It's my request...

Thank you for the mention. We wish all Teaching teams good luck. It's good to hear many Steemians love to learn.

I like to remark that the deadline for the We-Write is set for Saturday, sept 22, 2024

We have over 150 participants and need time to read the best participants all their posts again before we can tell who is the winner. It may be clear that selecting them out of 150+ is a harder task than out of 25.

We thank you for your trust and we write on.
