Some good stuff being said here.

Thanks for referencing my article and giving me a call out. I chuckled at the "conspiratorial" comment. I will gladly take that label if it means people read my content. You missed the fact that the key point in my follow up piece was peaceful resistance and that it can be achieved through knowledge and information. You mentioned wisdom, although a bit more depth would've been nice. I feel like I was just labelled and passed off as kookoo but thank you anyway; Any publicity is good publicity right?

I would also like to clarify that I'm an Anarcho-socialist/activist, and that I believe the idea of democracy is wonderful in the sense that every one has a vote. However, with the way that Democracy is being gamed for the benefit of those in power then democracy is unrealistic. When I speak of globalized democracy what I mean is a humane colony where everyone has a vote, not just those who can lobby a vote to any means.

The world is a business and if you're a businessman you know that you'd do anything to see your business run smoothly. Lobbyists are real, secret agencies are real, people are being censored daily. The proof of all of this is in the pudding. I like that you've seen this @shneakysquirrel and your views on social behavior. You raised some valid points. For that reason I've started following you.

"The more things change, the more they remain the same" as the old saying goes.

Thanks for podcasting. 67% of the world population are more or less fine with people getting hurt by them or somebody else, as long as they can avoid the consequences of their actions (Milgram). Therefore democracy is out of the question. Also if people are good, then we do not need a state, if people are generally bad we cannot have a state, because a majority of elected people will be bad and take advantage of the good minority.
In the end it all comes down to making sure that people get the consequences of their own direct or indirect actions and having a state that can steal money from people at the point of as gun, control money-creation, interest rates, borrowing and let the unborn children pay later is the opposite of letting consequences follow their actions. Statism is an illusion, which means it only exist in your brain. So using force or weapons or any kind of physical action has only the opposite effect of liberation .. it makes anarchists and the likes, look ridiculous. You have to argue logically and rationally - that is the only possible way, outside a complete zombie-apocalypse !

I was mostly with you until you said, "You have to argue logically and rationally," which flies in the face of everything you said before it.

What makes you think that all these people who are fine with hurting people are going to listen to logic and reason?

Thanks for listening btw!

Thanks for replying @georgedonnelly. I did not say that you would be succesful trying to argue, but still it is the only way. It is like pointing a gun at bitcoin to use some sort of physical action to "argue" against statism, it will not have an effect. Using anything else but arguments against statism only brings more statism. Really my point is, it is futile to try and argue the masses away from statism, they will have to feel real pain before the problem has a chance of becoming visible to someone who spent 15 years in a brainwashing institution. I am personally convinced that an economic meltdown is the one thing that can turn things around

Why is it the only way?

There is no point to arguing because having perfect opinions is useless until/unless you do something with them.

Therefore, the truly useful thing to do is go out and build the world or society you want.

it is futile to try and argue the masses away from statism

You seem to have contradicted yourself.

an economic meltdown is the one thing that can turn things around

Do you think the powers that be won't devalue the currency, turn around and start all over again?

It is the only way because statism is an illusion in peoples heads, it does not exist in the real world. That is where it has to change. The effects of their beliefs, the buildings, the armies, the guns, the courts etc... are all just symptoms. Trying to "remove" them or fight them or what ever you wanna call it, will only make "them" want more government, meaning more brainwashing and more "symptoms" (force). But even though arguing morally and or rationally against statism, does not mean that it can be done. If people do not want to be changed mentally, that is it then. I believe that the vast majority is beyond any moral argument or argument from rationality, so there is no other choices left except an economic catastrophe that either brings the change towards free association of governance or a new dark ages.

Actually i do not care what some "power that is" would want to do. I am only interested in what is true and what is moral. Second guessing psychopaths and figuring out a pseudo state entity to counter that is just as much statism as what we have now

Is there any chance of getting a synopsis of your Episodes in your posts? I can't watch videos at work. :-(

Thanks for the suggestion. It's on our todo list to provide a transcript, but that costs money and we're not earning enough yet to do it.

You might like to subscribe to our RSS feed and listen on your mobile device or in your car outside of work?

...actually the best way to clean muddy water is to get a water filter. :P

If you can get one, and if the water isn't too dirty, maybe.

Hey,

I'll start listening to your podcast in the near future, I'm just swamped with crypto projects & social media It's difficult to find the time.

Regarding distributing your RSS feed, here's a steem post I made for the beyondbitcoin & gridcoin podcasting communities.

I submitted the Gridcoin Community Hangouts to like 30 podcast directories, and we're considering uploading compressed versions of the podcast to archive websites like https://archive.org/index.php

Do you have any interest in Project Rain for Steem?

Best regards,
CM.

Interesting idea, Project Rain, but how many of these 500K BOINC folks want to receive the cryptocurrency? If they don't want it, it could just be a waste of money.

As a general rule, I'm not a big fan of giving away cryptocurrency unless I know the person/group really wants it and is going to put it to good use.

Re/ podcasting directories, libsyn is a host, not directory AFAIK.

Thanks tho! Keep up the great work.

objectivism? i think ayn rand would run from dan.
