A new SteemFest idea - Please welcome SteemSugars!!! More Women on Steemit ;)
What is this account about?
Born in the head of @meanmommy33 after a very productive SteemFest in Lisbon, @steemsugars were born as an effort to bring more women into Steemit and cryptocurrencies. There are several ways to do that [currently working on strategies], but the first step is done - we have an account for it!
Why?
It might sound silly but during SteemFest the participation of female Steemians was rather disappointing. We are talking about a 20% against 80% proportion, to say the least. So we thought... hey, how can we bring more 'female power' on the platform? Should we? Hell yeah, why not?
How? -What do we plan to do
Taken from @meanmommy33's latest article, this is how we plan to do it:
-By promoting Steemit to other Women, explaining and helping them understand the concept and start blogging!
-By doing relevant posts [the first one coming up shortly!] and resteem supporters, promoters and fellow female Steemians who are new and are learning the platform just now!
-By starting a research on Steemit to find other women and follow them, commenting on their content as @steemsugars and furthermore, research about Women centered events or even create them.

Who are we?
Ok, enough about @meanmommy33 - we got it girl, it was your idea, fine :P But an idea without an awesome team is useless! So the core group (and there are more girls joining us every day) are:
The one and only @immarojas, who first heard of this idea to start with!
And the amazing girls [and fellow SteemFest gals] @osm0sis, @teodora, @nelyp, @sjennon and @things! Then, special Steemians we haven't gotten the chance to meet in person (YET!) @natureofbeing, @bearone, @seyiodius, @kubbyelizabeth, @dreamiely, my favorite fellow Greek Steemian @ruth-girl and of course the incredible - you all know - @patrice!
The @ocd Team girls can't be left out -clearly!! @macchiata, @ashleykalila, @mariska.lubis and @sardart AND our very recent members (and more to come, hopefully!) @mammasitta, @hananan, @pelin and @farmacistasmz.
And this is only the start ;) Of course, the exquisite @stellabelle knows about the project from the very start - as a theoretical idea - and she is supportive, so let's see where this will take us!!!
Give us some SUGAR girls! Join your power with ours and let's make Steemit a place for women too :D Either on Discord, or by actively participating, or just by upvoting, resteeming and commenting - it all works, as long as we get more in here!!!!

This is a great idea. I'm already in a bunch of discord chats, mostly populated by males, it'd be nice to have a more female oriented group to be in.
