The energy drinks industry comprise beverages such as energy drinks, energy shots & energy drink mixes. Energy drinks are known as beverages that promise to give the consumer an extra energy boost & strenght. They are typically in caffeine and contain additional ingredients including "taurine", "guarana" a& B vitamins.
The latest statistics shows that energy drink beverages & shots sales amounted to 8.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2011. Due to a high market growth potential, dollar sales increased to over 13 billion by 2015. According t well-known industry sources, energy drinks reported a volume sales growth of 5.13 percent in 2016 compared to a year ago. The U.S. energy drink market is mainly dominated by key players such as Red Bull, Monster Beverage and Rockstar, based on 2016 sales. Red Bull generated U.S. sales worth of 3 billion U.S. dollars with its energy drink that "gives you wings" on that year! Monster Energy reported sales of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars.
History:
Monster Energy is an energy drink introduced by Hasen Natural Company ( now Monster Beverage Corporation M N S T) in April 2002. The company is also known for supporting many extreme sports events such as U F C, B M X, Motocross, Outbreak Presents, Monster Energy promotes a number of music bands around the world.
You wounder how many different drinks on the market?
- There are 34 different drinks under the Monster brand in North America, including it's core Monster Energy line, Java Monster, Extra Strength, Import, Rehab and Muscle Monster.
