Shots have been fired before between these two Steem Titans.

On the one side you have @haejin , a recent steemit.com phenomena that has taken the Steem world by storm. This user tends to mostly blog about cryptocurrency and possible price direction based on Elliot Wave Theory and other indicators. He has quickly gained a following and has at least one huge whale helping pump his blog posts to hundred of dollars worth per posts.

Many of Haejin's detractors complain that his analysis work that he posts multiple times a day is worthless, and is simply click bait to net him many votes and thus high payouts per post. There are some steem users who have tracked Haejin's analysis work, concluding that Haejin's analysis does not make most of his followers/supporters money. Others that follow Haejin and his posts are extremely happy with his work and continue to support him.

Another complaint against Haejin is that he is post several times a day, while providing little return to the Steem network and its users, particular those that follow Haejin. Haejin also apparently tends to self-vote with very little up-voting of anyone else, not even those that up vote and comment on Haejin's blog. This leads Haejin detractors to claim he or she are selfish, self-absorbed and Raping the Steem Reward Pool that is meant to be distributed to all contributors to the Steemit Network.

@berniesanders is Haejin's biggest nemesis on the Steemit platform. Bernie has been around from the beginning of the Steemit experiment, and has become somewhat of its unofficial enforcement officer, or inflated Hall Monitor to others. I believe Bernie to be no saint, but I also believe he has steemit's better (not quite best) intentions. Bernie is a huge whale here on Steemit, and he has used that power to create support for Steem users with the @Randowhale project and other endeavors. Yet, sometimes, Bernie's actions have been construed as too controversial or negative by other large whales on Steemit, and they have checked or punished Bernie for such aggressions. Nonetheless, this has not kept Bernie from continuing his fight against anything deemed counterintuitive to the Steemit project.

There has been actual volleys fired between these two Steem Whales before either through accusations and/or even flagging. Bernie has created the hash tag meme #rewardpoolrape and has been on a flagging campaign against Haejin as well. Bernie will occasionally follow that up with post and information showing the actions that Haejin does that he believes hurt everyone who is participating in the Steemit project. Haejin for his part, has tried to make peace with Bernie, but the truce has not lasted, with both sides accusing the other of breaking that truce. Yet, Haejin has also "teased the tiger" by continuing his steady stream of posts, a lot of times garnering hundreds of dollars per post. Haejin has also accused Bernie of double standard because has also self-upvoted, although nowhere near the extent that Haejin has self-upvoted.

These prior attacks against each other seems to now have escalated into what I call the Steemvengers Infinity War. It appears that Bernie has gained access to large amounts of Steempower in order to flag Haejin's post near the end of their 7 day payout. This is similar to what became Ebay Bid Snipping, with bidders bidding at the last second to win an auction, only here it is the reverse of that. On Steemit, the downvote or Flagging is done as close to the end of the payout window, so that no other up vote can come in after that to help the post make money. I guess we can call that Vote Snipping. So far It seems to have worked with a handful for Haejin's posts being flagged down to a $0 dollars payout.

Now that the Flag Bombs have been dropped hard against Haejin, Haejin has upped his offensive attack by increasing his Blog posts and has promised to increase his Blogging arsenal. It seems the Steemvengers Infinity War has truly started with both sides claiming to fight on until victory. This might be a long hard fought war of attrition on the Steemit battlefield with the winner from this outcome yet to be determined, but determined it must be.
