STEEMIT JOURNAL: STEEM and Steemit For All Its FaultssteemCreated with Sketch.

No changes to the Steemit user interface for 6 months? With users crying out for changes all this time?

WTF?

I decided about a month ago, I was very disallusioned with STeemit.

I have been laying low and not posting in the last month. I actually decided to stop posting and just make new friends by commenting on other folks posts.

Not an easy thing to swallow, or DIGEST.

But after reading several weeks; and looking over the chatter, I can see there are many sides to this coin. (no pun)

  1. We all want to see the fucking STEEM price go up. I guess we can all agree on that. Can we please all accept our inner greed enough to admit we are all self oriented as a matter of basic survival?

  2. That said, I wonder at times if Steemit is simply the original “monster app" that got the STEEM ball rolling ?

  3. With so many new STEEM powered or SMT powered apps being announced, I guess this is the real side of STEEM.

It's a blockchain.

It's a blockchain, not a social media app.

In fact, it's one of the most advanced and modern, dare I say, sophisticated tokens available, for many different reasons.

So we have to admit, anything that can be done to put this blockchain front and center, in this hyper-competitive market of blockchains, must be done now.

So kudos to Ned, and I have complete confidence in his ability to sniff this market at any given time and rally the various interests to do the most with what is at hand.

It will be interesting to see SMTs take flight...

I’m sure the first few projects will look GLORIOUS!
And then, reality will set in for a while. Thousands of SMT offers flood the market...

But I tell those that ask me, what do you expect of all this?

I assume, Wall Street has met its match.
And there will be a few blockchain frameworks that replace it with something new.

Meanwhile, Steemit is still the best place in the world to meet new friends, and find new opportunities.

So thanks Ned, Dan, and the Steemit community!

I do agree. At the moment Steemit can be named the best blockchain interface, it's not (yet) a social media app.

VEry interesting insight. I always listen to this guy; he knows what he is talking about..

I have no idea what's going on with Steemit.com development - I might go and look through the changes to it's repository in Github and find out where they are at..

By the way, I've been campaigning for being a witness on steemit for the last couple of days and noticed that your vote wasn't logged by the system - it would be super helpful if you would just drop a vote in there for me again whenever you get a moment. Cheers!

the whole community will be watching the big ones that are going to attend.

but the future of steemit is bright...

Hello @surfyogi, I realized that you had disappeared, but I did not imagine that you was a little discouraged ... your rewards are good, I also thought about giving up because sometimes it's just cents, and the platform always falling and without change for the better. But think positive and stick firmly and success in your posts. I believe that at the beginning of next year things will improve, @ned is working for this, let's trust!

I share your feeling.

thanks for infromation! excellent surfyogi

Wow, Hello @surfyogi,

It has been a while, i was wondering where you were all this while. Yah the problem with steemit.come has been very disappointing and discouraging, but i learnt the steem blockchain is sold, so good luck to the future of steem. Welcome back to posting. Steem on.

I was surprised that after the SMTs announcement STEEM stayed up only a few days and then went back to 1 usd. Why do you think is that?
And I completely agree with what you wrote under 1. point.

With Bitcoin at $6000 i think Steem will take a while to rise.

nice post........
