PONZI ? Eehhh ... NO !

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Let's compare STEEM with basic fiat currencies like USD, EUR, GBP, ...

  • Initial money supply

--> About 80 % of the overall SteemPower was ninjamined by the founders

----> actually 100 % of all fiatcurrencies get printed by one authority

  • the biggest stack, is hold by a small percentage of people

--> correct, but even if you give everybody the same share for the start, it would that way

----> the rich become more rich, while all the rest is getting closer to 0

  • ways to increase your personal stack

--> by providing hashing power to the network ("Mining") or by sharing usefull content on the social network platform (steemit.com)

----> you provide your individual skills and time to a company, and will be rewarded accordingly

  • the size of your personal income

--> 19 our of 21 blocks each round will go to the 19 top witnesses of the network

----> Managers of big companies like Siemens, VW, ... earning millions of dollar per year, even if they accumulate billions of dollars negative profit for their company

Conclusion

We could fill a lot of sites with arguments and examples and would most likely always have the same results.

It is not STEEMit in particular, that is a ponzi but it is every single financial system in the world.
This is since the first simple kinds of money was invented, and it will likely always be like that.

So money is obviously the devil itself, let's live without it !

That sounds like a good idea, but the past has proven that the human greed will never allow us to just share everything in a way, where everyone would be happy with.
There will always be individuals who are jealous about something which is not their own.

This is a good thing, because it will motivate us to become better then we are just now, but it also hase a huge bad impact for everyone of us.

But ... but ... but ... !

NO ! Let's stop crying already about others, that got a bigger share of the cake !
Instead we should activate our braincells and look for possible improvements for our future gains.

Thank you for your time !

I guess in some sense I like the way that steemit makes it to where you gotta put your steem power where your mouth is. What I'm trying to say is that if you have more you have the ability to help more. I'm not so naive to think that if somebody has more they're willing to help more. But that is my goal on steemit. I know that money, or any currency for that matter can be evil.
The fact that steemit has given me the ability to rise and be one of those people, that can help others is awesome. I like you post and thank you for your time.

Exactly, it doesnt help to cry about things we cant change - but it helps a lot to figure out things that we actually can change and get ourself straight working on. Nice to see you got what I wanted to say.

Pretty nice written and described !
+1

I have been told at one time or another that every crypto currency is a scam, distributed unfairly and or a ponzi scheme.

It always comes to one point, to have more or less then someone else.
Sadly many people never realize, that there are a lot more important things in their life then money.

Hm yes but you need money to buy that things

It makes the life a lot easier to have some, but we are still far away from being able to buy all.

youre opinion is always welcome and overall we mostly will agree at many points :)

Power UP and go with the flow !
I don't take everything so serious because I always find my way to survive and play with money coming and going and this for a long time . Whatever name it is given . I have learnt how to minimize ....
