RE: Happy Birthday to me - My first birthday as a Steemian !
Before jumping to conclusions about people. If you took the time to read the post you will see that I have a message, that is almost nothing to do with Birthdays let alone mine. The message is that everything stamped into a number is the result of continuous (and not discreet) accumulations of knowledge, work etc. Over the past year, I have published hundreds of articles regardless of the payouts being high or low. I have continued to write for two audiences , Chinese and English and have shared what many have considered to be useful , entertaining content which is valuable to them. In addition, I literally spend 3-4 hours on top of writing posts and creating content everyday to engage with everyone.
You can complain when you've contributed at least as much as I have to the platform. Gone through the highs AND the lows. Put my face out there every single day promoting Steemit.
your hard work is paying off. you deserve your success.
I understand. Hey, I am not so ignorant that I cannot be reasoned with. My thing is in the "social media construct" that we know it presently to be....attention brings value, and unfortunately attention with no content whatsoever usually outshines everything else. I just wanted people to keep it in mind. I apologize if I offended you. I appreciate and understand the value of one's work as I've worked very hard myself.
And what makes you think my post has no content 'what so ever' ?
People are free to choose what they consider valuable content. You can not objectively say that one piece is more valuable than another.
Unless you have developed an objectively fair algorithm and metric which measures quality between posts?
You have offended me with your complete ignorance which you continue to display by ignoring the main message of my post, and my subsequent reply.
If you truly believed what you said about the value of ones work through perserverance and hard work, then you would have taken a few seconds to peruse through my body of work and decide for yourself whether I'm the kind of girl to post content that 'talks about nothing' or content you would consider to be 'no content'.
I think if there's any vanity in the play in your posts or your "presentation", as some Steemians claimed below, I think "Vanity is the Spice of Life" - if in healthy dose. And I think that's actually part of the ingredients that propel you to the success level you enjoy today through persistent hard work and intelligence. I believe you actually sincerely intend to bridge the east and west as you mentioned in your self-introduction. So personally I'd say - In the name of Vanity, you flaunt it well. Keep up the great work and leave the mumbling to those "exact opposite of what you are today" !
I must agree with you xD, her content brings value to people who want to do the same as her maybe(?) Travel but for what ? To me it seem like vanity of vanities - I must agree sorry opinionated lady ~ yours truly... opinionated ChenChi13
