RE: @Sweetsssj : Sixth Day Eleventh Hour Selfvoting via a 13-Account Content Farm ?

in #steemit7 years ago

This has gone far enough.

You should find better things to do than try start witch hunts based on incomplete and defamatory information. I devote the large majority of votes to my friends and family who happen to come from a country (China) where Crypto is quickly becoming incredibly difficult to use. Yet, the value of a platform which gives them a voice and freedom from oppressive regimes is something I will continue to push, not just to my friends and family, but people all over China as well as the developing world at large. Countless people have joined Steemit because of my efforts over the last 1.5 years, and even more people who are now inspired to write travel and food blogs from seeing my blogs as an example.

I will support the people who have decide to take up steemit because it is their only avenue for expressing themselves freely. This is an intangible value which even with my full vote cannot be measured or felt in the short term. Rather, the rippling effect of being able to remain free to share, participate and earn will collectively contribute to a movement freeing a nation of people from oppression and censorship.

Those of you who insist on continuing the witch hunt by parading higher moral fibre whilst turning an eye to actual abuse, may I remind you that you are harming my friends, family and other people whom I support because you simply do not know the other half of the story. It is far easier for you to complain at the apparent injustice and go the route of ad hominem, completely forgetting the fact that for every bit of extra reward earned by one person, another has to compromise. This is not a socialist platform, and it never will be, please do not perceive the fact that rewards going to some people mean that if that were not the case, the rewards would be coming to you. It simply doesn't work like that.

Friends, family - including my own parents, uncles, aunties have contributed what I deem to be valuable, and I am acting within the rules set forth by the protocol by voting for them. A lot of the issues here seem to be directed at the fact that my friends and family send their earnings to a single place to cash out, how is that illegal? How is it fraudulent? How is it wrong that a family member cashes out the crypto on behalf of people in a country where crypto has pretty much been outlawed and the three largest crypto exchanges have now been shut down with more oppression to come?

Are you judging their content at all? Or are you just jealous that you are not a close friend or family member and that voting for friends and family is illegal and fraudulent on this platform? (It's not) Because should you want to exercise such a high standard of morality, then you surely have better cases to be worried about than me and my circle of friends and family who contribute real content and not just 4 word comments and self voted n number of times per day. If you want a good look at an example of that, then take a look at :

I suppose your grandiose accusations of grand theft and fraud on my part despite my explanations are some how in your mind still worth attacking, and likely boil down to the fact that you probably just don't like me for whatever reason, and have chosen to go the selective bully route because you probably feel cheated at the fact that I've never voted for you. Unlike other stake holders with considerable SP, I have never thrown downvotes around or threatened them, and you probably feel comforted by that making me an even easier target.

Over a year ago, I met Ned and invited him to dinner along with my mother in Hong Kong. He recommended that I get her and the rest of my family to join Steemit. She is one of the first people from my circle to join, and has been contributing diligently for over a year. She along with the rest of our friends and family have done nothing wrong and by launching your attack on them, you are in effect saying you think people who write 500+ words often in two languages and post original images similar to the kind that I do, do not deserve their rewards whilst people who write 4 letter comments do. It's so easy to turn a blind eye sometimes but I guess as they say : a drowning man will clutch at straws. Frankly, if you directed your energy into writing something of my liking, like the many other people who you haven't listed which I support, then I would still consider upvoting you. As it stands, false defamatory posts painting an incomplete picture of the situation will not attract my attention, and you vehemently asserting incorrect facts will not, and do not, make them true.

  1. Is anything I'm stating false?
  2. Thank you for downvoting the post at -100% with your 800k SP
  3. I tried to contact you several days ago on all chats to get your side of the story and got no reply
  4. May I ask why you vote for them very close to the 6th day and 11th hour?
  1. Self voting is a claim you make based on them sharing the same memo. You don't know enough about me, my friends, my family, the situation of cashing out in China, to be sufficiently informed about why this is necessary. So yes, this is false.

  2. You're welcome.

  3. Not a single person called 'walden' has messaged me on Steemit chat which is the only place I ever hang out.

  4. I vote within the time period permissible by the rules of the protocol.

I vote within the time period permissible by the rules of the protocol.

You're doing this in order to everyone not to notice you're farming the reward pool. But ooops.

If you're falling back on it being permissible by the rules of the protocol, then the same can be said about what @walden is doing making people aware of it, or about what I've been doing downvoting them.

We're all invested to some degree in this network, so ideally we should be on the same side. Having read some of your explanations I'm inclined to stop downvoting, but I still hope you'll at least reconsider the last day voting. It looks really bad.

4, Stop playing dumb, He's asking you why.

yeah please answer the question of @spectrumcons @transisto

If you wonder why I upvote comments that are simple links saying "Explanation for high upvote" maybe you should start by clicking the link.

It would help if you provided a brief explanation as to why someone should click the link. A few words and a high upvote is very off putting.

TRENDING AND HOT POSTS CONSISTE OF:

  1. STEEMIT RELATED
  2. SAME MEMBERS (OLD ONES)
  3. HOT CHICKS
  4. COMPLAINERS
  5. CRYPTO
  6. FAMOUS YOUTUBERS
  7. FRIEND/FAMILY OF WHALES

I'm really happy we have number 3.

I'll take "I have no shame," for 200 SBD, Alex!

Why did you upvote your own comments to over 100 SBD? Opps sorry, I mean your best friend @newsflash, actually a combination of the two of you, I think. Why did your comments stop receiving massive upvotes about 2 weeks ago? Do you feel your handful of words are now less valuable? Did @spaminator smack your bottom and confiscate your lunch money? Do you think @newsflash loves you less and might be looking elsewhere? Are you now a model Steemian?

If you wonder why I upvote comments that are simple links saying "Explanation for high upvote" maybe you should start by clicking the said link.

He is making the comments on @devfund now.

I've also noticed he has been promoting some projects with the funds.

Deflect much?

That is very disappointing.

  1. You are wrong, selfvoting is in the title followed by a question mark, that is not an affirmative statement, nor a claim. So please go ahead and withdraw your flag.

You accused her in the title, its right there
sweetsssj-sixth-day-eleventh-hour-selfvoting-via-a-13-account-content-

a content farm implies shes doing something nefarious

Go find REAL abuse damnit.. she brings quality content, if u dont like her content too bad tens of thousands of steemians do so tough

get a life and focus on real problems of steemit dont confuse the minnows into thinking sweetsssj is bad, shes not shes worked really hard for steem, if it wasn't for her providing content that brought people back day after day, there might not even be steem as we know it so go create a list of all the value you added to steem blockchain and show me what it looks like compared to everything she has produced AND everything she upvoted like all my projects and all my friends project in Team Ghana #teamghana has a lot of key members like @mcsamm @tj4real @emmanueloppong who all are here because she upvoted me and them and they got support from her on many of their early posts that helped them get known by other dolphins and whales and they are bringing thousands of users and millions of dollars to steemit and they are but a FRACTION of what she has helped Uplift from her constant curating constantly upvoting MANY minnows MANY new users MANy people EVERYDAY so WTF what have YOU done Walden where is YOUR steempower, youve been here from the beginning why havent you saved any steempower you just power down and leach from steemit and the you LEACH attention!

How dare you make this fuckin post how about we talk about all your abuses and make a post all about your bullshit and how you do nothing good for steemit . Its just dumb why start this shit its pathetic you have NOTHING better to do?

You sowed the wind and you shall reap the whirlwind walden. @uradick was right to be doing what he did for so long

"Apply water in the burned area" lol, that was intense hehe. But, yes at the end we have to put in a balance who does more for the platform.

And I also agree if it would be true I prefer much more a productive Whale than a lot of bloodsucker whales raping the reward pool with self-upvotes and flag wars!

@ackza - envy and jealousy reign supreme in some circles and people.

Of all this noise your comment stands out bro! Folks are hating on @sweetssj and not focusing on making their own quality content. I am in Ghana as well and am working on a #tedtalk style meetup for march. Let me know if your interested and ill fill you in on the details.

hi,美女,我把这篇文章翻译了扔在cn区,不过我觉的只放一家之言太偏颇了.请问我能不能把你的解释也一并翻译并放在文中呢?或者你在我那篇文章评论区里留言也好。打搅了

very great to know about your support hope you also will support me @sweetsssj and also will get in touch with you by upvoting folloing you and hope you will do the same for me to get progress here

thank you in advance @fruityfinkamran

@sweetsssj - on #4, you do not owe him or anyone an explanation.

It is your vote. You use your vote how you want. Do not let other tell you how to vote. No one has a right to tell you how to vote. No one period. I think it is good that you are supporting your family and your friends, but you also support others and steemit with your post. And no I have not voted on any of your post that I can recall. I did look at a couple of your post, but no vote and no comment. I have been using my vote elsewhere. Your vote always, no one else's.

How did her English suddenly get so academically good compared to any post she ever made about food?

It's obvious that many people on the trending page have editors or writers...heck I would. I'm thinking of getting my husband to research for me ... this is common sense...with the rewards she makes she would be crazy not to employee an assistant.

To write her public appeal arguments in this instance? Or to write her posts in very different grammer styles than displayed here. So is she an imposter when making her case here? Or when taking vastly unbalanced reward pool shares for bikini pics? Which one is the real one and what are the ramifications of it being someone else in either case? Think that over carefully.... there are ramifications to each scenario.

@sircork, nice to talk with you again, I have enjoyed reading some of your post. You are suggesting this account is a host to multiple users. I've thought about this a lot actually but not because of sweetjsss's issues, the trending page has the same actors day in and day out churning out masses of data. How can one person do that make the trending page every day or every time they post? OMG...so boring to wear the same clothes or no clothes (haha) every day, which is what the trending page shows people who are checking steemit out.

When I read post like this and see the obvious greed from small to large accounts gaming the system I often think about...

Corruption Causes Poverty

If steemit wants to survive we need some codes of conduct and the ability to ban bots and people who abuse the system.

I am against centralized authority. My comments here are only because I feel the person answering the arguments here is not the same person who makes the posts and I am finding that to be very interesting, though uncertain how relevant it is.

I agree that corruption causes poverty, and I fight poverty every day with my teams at @YouAreHOPE Foundation, steems premier worldwide humanitarian aid organization, so I'm with ya. But I don't want centralized rule.

It's a tough situation sometimes.

I could argue that codes of conduct are not centralized authority if a group the group write up the codes and we all agree on how to abide by them.

I don't feel like doing that since I have several large projects staring at me ...saying, "get to work."

I will check @youarehope foundation out! I work on an individual bases with my charity work and avoid large charity groups that I cannot physically check out to see how things operate.

I've worked in many small and large groups and raised a family, without some kind of moral and ethical rules and a way to enforce them the groups/family fall apart quickly.

Moral and ethical rules are a "culture" and I often preach on instilling a "culture" of giving, generosity, work ethics, and on and on, but I would postulate that any group that defines rules is okay, in their property such as a discord community here on the ecosystem, and that's cool, but system wide, unless every single person system wide can and DOES vote, the idea of a true democracy, will not ever evolve here in anarcho capitalistic steem land and I'm not sure it should, and further, in fact, I'm pretty sure, it shouldn't!

I mentioned 100z of times that there are many here on trending page who are fake, its a group that pays someone for being the front face.. she is fake, iv been telling this since very long time, but i guess dicks will always be dicks.. its easy to pay someone for making her a pose on camera, and making big bucks. have u seen all her posts? there is something fishy about them. especially the dance video post..

There's nothing wrong with employing ghost writers and editors. That's my day job. I am a ghost. It says so on my profile. Most of my work on the outside has somebody else's name on it. Who cares if you get paid?

I also have enjoyed many of her posts and updated a couple. I like to learn about cool attractions that I will probably never get to visit myself. She seems like an intelligent, cultured, and pleasant young lady to me. I am a female, so the bikini pics don't do a thing.

On the other hand, it's tough to get traction if you start with a modest investment, so I wish there was a more balanced way for the small fish to get fed here. That's certainly why there are so many dead fish in the pond. There are some great curation efforts like #steemstem, but yeah, most of the trending page is crap.

Not sure if you read the post, but this has very little to do with ghost writing.

This needs more upvotes

I've chat with her several times on steemit.chat. She is remarkably intelligent and has knowledge in many different areas. The way she responded in this post is consistent with the conversations I've had with her. Her food and travel posts are written to a style consistent with the material and the audience she is appealing to. These posts do not need to be expressed in an academic style. I also adapt my style depending on the content and audience. I don't think that is particularly unusual.

i still believe its a group, not one person, and she is being paid for it..

Exactly my thought!

She has hired a top lawyer, let's say, but then we may have to rewrite the rules of Steemit should we want to make her feel guilty for that.

Just days ago I saw some shitty, unreadable posts that got like 200 SBD and I was like WTF. That's more than what I have in total. So I will say, let's go after those unreadable posts first. It may not be fair on our part to throw mud at quality content in the hope that it may accidentally stick.

From my own experience, I have to say that content creators need MOTIVATION. Not a witch hunt.

Her content is worthy of imitation. Just beautiful!

But she -if there really is a "she" or a single person behind that post- is milking out the network HARD. I find it very important to go down on heavy liches like this account. The degree of money being cleared off the network is too heavy.

well thats coz they are either whales or friends with whales.. basically we need to lick their asses in th chat, to get rich here.. alot of them are good at that, not me, and cannot do it..lol or if ur friends or gf or a relative of a whale..

  • People with SP has the freedom to upvote the posts they like.
  • In Steem, you have freedom of speech to say whatever you want.
  • If the people you talked about doesn't like your post, they have the freedom to downvote you.
  • User can vote as they wish. They can vote on the first day or on the 6th day. This is not a valid question.

CODE is LAW

THEN UPDATE THE CODE.

'1. Yes. As far as I know, the post by @paulag you cited is false. I wrote a post criticizing it.

'4. Minnows can share more curation rewards if they vote before the whale votes. 6th day is good for more minnows to share.

@walden there are also other people who are ready to support you and also looking back for your support @fruityfinkamran

3, You try to justify it by contacting him but you do not confirm to the person you mentioned in your writing, maybe with information from them you will have some consideration before guessing a job someone else. I may be very offended by the kindness of others you make excuses to blame. if you do not contact him then be patient for a moment better than you directly punish him.

Him? (Second Freudian Slip)

Aren't you the user mentioned in the post that buys votes from her?

Thank you for your mistakes

Not true as you allege. if you have a problem with someone you do not like then I think you solved it. I do not need a word of gratitude from you.

What is not true as I allege? everything I allege is backed...

Her @walden according to me you are doing really great job because I got some information from this post So, I am supporting you, and hope you will support me as well.

Thanks

People are bitter because you bring in a lot of money with your posts and the content is rather....surface...it doesn't go very deep. It's just pictures of a pretty girl and fancy food and fancy places, things that everyone either really wants (so they are jealous) or has little to no interest in (so they think it's overvalued). I'm not trying to belittle you, I'm just explaining why you become a target. I appreciate this kind of in depth look into where such a large portion of our reward pool is goin and hope to see a similar examination of any top users, though I understand your frustration if something was misrepresented here.

I personally don't want to say anything negative about anyone who is honest and transparent, regardless of how I feel about your posts. I feel anyone with so much weight (power) should be much more transparent. You might invite less criticism with a higher level of transparency. You know that most long time users on steemit believe there is a team behind your account. Whether this is true or not is notnreally a great concern of mine, but perhaps more transparency will help you to avoid headaches such as this.

I don't really feel ANY posts are worth as much as yours, but I don't place the blame on you, but rather on the established whales who continue to vote for people who ALWAYS go trending no matter what they contribute. I find you to be polite and friendly enough and I have not seen you pour fuel onto the fire of any drama at steemit so I do have to give you that. But perhaps this is just the cost of fame, which is why I search for success without fame.

No hard feelings, just want to make a suggestion. And one more, I hope you use your voting power to help out some of the many struggling minnows on the platform.

Have a good day steemit celebrity ;-P

She does use her voting power to help MANy struggling minnows go look at her freakin votes go look at her curation and look at all the followers she has you think she got those without helping a LOT of people?

I just hate how people are assuming he is making ALL this money without upvoting ANYONE else she upvotes MANY more people than herself

people are committing the sin of class warfare on steem, its 100% jelousy , jelousy from people without steempower and jealousy from other whales who don't have as many followers

That's good to know. I don't assume anyone gets a lot of followers for being a good person because I know most people prioritize their own success at the platform and upvoting content that is sure to make money is one way to do it. But that doesn't mean I assume she doesn't help people.

When the wealth is so unevenly distributed you can't blame the ones who don't have much for the class warfare. I certainly think we can do without any warfare and talk about it though.

I have no hard feelings for @sweetsssj, I just don't believe anyone deserves $600+ for a post when just $1-10 would make such a huge difference to the vast majority of users and so she is one of the few dozen steemians who I consider to be overvalued by default and that has nothing to do with her content or who she is as a person or whether or not she is a "she" or a "they". So I stand by everything I just said.

And it's good that you share your experience and opinion too.

I apologize to any newbies in here who I got mad for believing this troll post

Walden is just a troll, he makes himself sound smart so he tricks a lot of people but just LOOK at Waldens Blogs, its crazy how little he actually posts useful stuff its just whatever, i just cant focus on this anymore

I think her posts are fine. She has expenses to travel to these places, take photos, and then translate her posts into at least two languages. It's hard to produce that level of quality without an initial investment. It's possible that some of the places she highlights also pay her for promotion. Hey, it's a good gig. There are problems and worse offenders here.

seems to me you are mixing something shady with something real.

  1. I do not doubt that you support friends/family, I am sure we all do that.
  2. The shady part in this story is that all that money from all those accounts go to your bittrex account.

Also - I did not like to see you flagging this post like a criminal trying to hide evidence or make sure nobody sees it. And may I add - you spend too many words "explaining yourself" - like people often do when they are lying.

The way you act and the way you explain yourself, @sweetsssj makes a lot of people doubt you right now, as the owner of http://STEEMspeak.com I can tell you first hand that people are extremely extremely interested in your business-dealings, finding the "key" to your "success"...

And I believe people like Walden, and others - once they start digging they wont stop - and why should they? Maybe they find something you dont want them to find? Maybe that is exactly what needs to be found? If there is nothing there - then why are you acting as if it was?

Do you understand how many people see it? And do you understand that flagging @walden was a dumb thing to do?

frystikken, thank you for highlighting your concern and bringing some insight. Perhaps it was heavy handed but the real issue is people making incorrect assertions based on incomplete information and making judgements from it.

It's fine to dig, but finding something and calling it something else - in this case, me voting a bunch of friends and family and outwardly claiming those are me selfvoting is categorically wrong.

I haven't been involved in crypto long enough, so I don't have good experience with how to cash out. In China, it was difficult before, and after the recent crackdown even more so. Thankfully, I have a friend who cashes out for me and does so on my behalf as well as the others and this is why we share a memo.

Thanks for the wisdom F

Do you know how to convert Steem in to bitcoin and store it on your phone?

That is obviously not what she is talking about
Why don't you go to China and try making money off Steem OR bitcoin and CASH IT OUT or SPEND it without getting in trouble and tell us how easy that is for you ....huh?

What's obvious is that there are way more people who will exchange fiat for BTC rather than STEEM anywhere in the world. So having it converted to BTC on her own is the only thing that should happening at bittrex. That she's delegating that simple step to someone else is a bit odd.

Well, there's two sides to this. As somebody living in China, it's actually quite easy - localbitcoins. Can get it sent straight to your Alipay (for the sake of this comment - like paypal). I've done it to order pizza and stuff for proof of concept.

That being said, Chinese citizens are forced to register their ID to any of these websites (many of the big ones simply don't allow or have a separate, chinese-version of their website), removing any anonymity and security-from-government. The best way to get around this is to get somebody like me - a non chinese living in china - to do it with their home country ID

Hello, let me introduce you to ackza.

He's a dick.

@grey580 , slothicorn was talking to transisto , not me . Do something productive like call out walden for being the troll he is ...

If I think it's appropriate. I will.

If you keep creating value for others here on Steemit or anywhere else, this value will come back to you. Keep being awesome. Keep being yourself.

Let them say or post what they like but i know that you are Heart of Steemit community and we will always support you

I just get so mad sometimes on here

I have t o breath and realize its all juts a video game

I just want to see winners rewarded , i just dont like seeing people without much success calling out the person with the success as if they are wrong for making money on steemit... she deserves her moneys . Shes contributed a LOT to steemit and has brought many many many people and she will be bring many millions of Chinese to steem she should not be treated like this

I get the whole open discussion thing but come on we should be bearing down on REAL problems not this, this is just crazy

It's not a video game and nobody's doubting her contribution to Steem.

@transisto You are so helpful. your blogs and resteems are awesome. I am waiting for your next post. Thanks for everything. God bless you.

Hi @transisto,

It seems you got a $85.4414 upvote from @transisto at the last minute before the payout. (20.18h) and this comment is to make everyone aware.

Please follow @abusereports for additional reports of reward pool abuse. Thank you.

she will be bring many millions of Chinese to steem

That would be interesting :)

We see how you're trying to mix the pot for Troll Drama. Find something else that constitutes actual abuse. This is obviously a witch hunt.
Make another shitcoin video with your energy. This doesn't make you look pretty.

lol thank you for that, made me smile, isn't she able to express herself. Even a community account up/downvoting for her. Makes everything more suspicious. There are simple questions still awaiting for answers, yet..

*I'm so excited for my first flag

I appreciate this explanation. I guess you voting them on the 6 day highlights some of the issues Steem currently has.

To make it clear, I understand why you don't upvote them sooner and you might consider those post shouldn't end up trending but that doesn't mean those posts aren't worth what you are giving them.

Worth is something subjective. I vote on stuff with 100% upvote that some people would think wasn't even worth 1 cent.

Steem is not always an obvious place and things aren't always as they seem. Steem is full of issues just like our society at large. Everyone is trying to do their best with what they have.

if we are reasonable Im sure we can all understand eachother

Well said as usual!
You are an honorable man!

@teamsteem once again you judged maturely and correctly...making me feel proud voting you as my witness... worth is something subjective indeed. I support all @sweetsssj posts because I love the quality and if I were to have her steem power (Gosh I wish one day) I will vote family and friends too (plus other people too as I do daily) ...who wont do that? damn why get steem power then? hmmmm thanks for your comment

@walden this is far enough..what are you doing? destroying the reputation of the very talented girl in this community.

are you jealous of her the circle of her friends that support her?

we love her and we always do.

please don't do this again instead make yourself have a positive mind that can influence people to improve them self.

don't make an issue to @sweetsssj again. @walden you are not helping the community of steemit.have a life...stop this none sense issue on her.

I think it is worth a community discussion. The blockchain is transparent for a reason. I didn't see him call you a thief, I thought the post questioned if you were selling votes, which isn't a crime or even frowned on by all.

I think we can just discuss if this is the best use of the reward pool. I also agree transisto's actions and Haejin are also a concern. The rest of us who have investments here deserve to understand where the reward pool is going.

Nothing personal from me, but I want to discuss it.

there are a lot bigger fish to fry, this is not worth a community discussion if we arent going to actually discuss real issues like account creation and other such matters, I didnt sign up to steem to scrutinize Top content creators wallet memos and you didnt either

walden and fyrst are just being admitted trolls and creating drama on purpose and that is fine, more attention and more followers for sweetsssj, great, good job.

If you don't wish to discuss it, why don't you go ahead and not discuss it.
If you didn't sign up to talk about this... Then don't.

Seemed like you like Fyrst, just fine until he disagreed with you on an issue.

GOOD point!
The truth is that EVERYTHING is worthy of a discussion, especially if there are 2 or more people interested in that discussion!

please stop spamming the same meme over and over.

You wish......

支持甜心,其实这些人就是眼红。不要影响自己的心情哈。

agree ,support @sweetsssj

@sweetsssj : I am supporting you, period.

Well said!
Each of my travel post is easily 500 words in 2 languages too. Compare that to those rubbish memes earning 100x more than me :(

Borrowed from: @justyy - 支持甜心,其实这些人就是眼红。
@jrvacation - you are not doing badly either - so, instead of complaining about the success that @sweetsssj has accomplished, learn from her! I commented on her post that there is a team, albeit a small team, of professionals that has made her look really professional! There could also be some private business arrangements to enable her to be so successful.
I do not follow you or upvote you out of principle. I do hope that you leave with useful knowledge and become more successful.
All the best to you!

Can't you see that I am supporting @sweetsssj with my comment? I said "Well said!" to her post.
