History of the Tarot Cards
There are many theories to where the tarot cards originated from.
Some believe it was in ancient Egypt, others believe they came from India.
One thing is for certain and its that, tarot cards were carried westwards by migrating gypsies .Many coming from Pakistan, Afghanistan and northern India.
Tarot cars reached Italy and France by the fourteenth century.
These cards were not only used for fortune telling but as an alternative to playing cards. Playing cards we are familiar with today developed from the Minor Arcana of the Tarot.
May people panic when they received the Death card in a reading. However the meaning of this card is, new beginnings, accept change, make way for the New.
One of the worst cards to get in a reading is the Tower. This foretells , shocks, upheavals and change.
Sorting the cards for a trip on the 21st July tells me, we must all expect shocks and upheavals on this day.
