Part 2 The Spitfire Ghost
These marks disappeared from my wrists. Telepathically, the ghost started relaying messages to me. He was looking for his girlfriend, as he was angry at her for going out with an American serviceman. He mentioned the names, Joe and Lily. His agitation could be felt when I asked if he had taken his own life.
I asked the manager if he had any previous knowledge of any war time events or if Churchill had ever stayed there, but he replied that he had no idea. A few weeks later he phoned me at home to tell me he had found out that an aircraft had crashed near to the hotel in 1944. It had been a spitfire, the manager then suggested I should go back to the hotel in the near future to meet a couple of men who worked in aviation. He told me they had been intrigues by what id picked up and felt they might be able to clear up a few things for me.
A week later, I returned to the hotel and was introduced to the men who were keen to provide me with information. They gave me a useful description of the mechanics of the spitfire fighter planes. Apparently it was not unusual for a pilot flying that type of aircraft to have his wrists cut while trying to escape from the plane. It was one of the faults with spitfires, they told me. So the ghost was not being vicious and only marked my wrists to show me how he had died.
My belief is this pilot feels deep regret and sadness for not returning safely and he is still in love with the woman who betray him.
