3 Simple Ways on How To Start Your Blog Here on Steemit
To be honest, it really is hard to start a blog.
Like when you click that huge button at the top right of the page that says 'POST' and then your writing dashboard pops up, the question is, 'now what'?
I bet that at some point (or probably most of the time), you too experienced having hard times writing someting here on steemit, especially if you're a beginner just like me.
This is my first blogpost and this is the first problem I've encountered.
But I'm not a cry baby.
In my mind, there must be a solution in every problem, and that solution is what this post is about. So, allow me to help you guys get those ideas in your heads be put into words.
Write About Your Passion
I know it's a bit cliche, but this I think is always the key to succeed not only in terms of writing, but in every aspect of life or career you wanna get involved with. If you love what you're doing, that would give you an extra motivation to move. Things will seem lighter if you enjoy doing it.
Take a look at steemit tags and notice that there are several names that dominates in every tags. In 'poetry' tag for example.
That's because, these people might have chose a tag that they love and feel comfortable to write about. Then through time, they stick with it.
If you love basketball, then choose 'sports' tag. If you love gardening, write under 'gardening' tag. If you love poetry (like me), then write a poem under, you guess it, 'poetry' tag and so on.
Don't pick a topic that you'll end up forcing yourself to write just because that topic is trendy, or just because that topic have huge payouts. While you may learn about other things and just go with the flow, if you don't really love what you are writing about, you'll just gonna get burnout.
Stick With Your Topic
Now that you've decided what to write about, stick with it.
One beauty of writing to just few topics is that eventually, you will improve. You're gonna build a reputation and people will start seeing you as an expert in that field. If you become an influencer, that could also be one benefit if you stick to a single or few categories.
Don't Forget to Interact
To get really involve to the subjects you prefer, interact to people who are also engage in that category by leaving a genuine rational, and human comment on their blogposts. Make sure that you really read their content because that way, you will learn more and more.
If you agree with what they say, you might wanna cheer them up. If you don't, then you might mention them your argument politely. Treat a 'tag' like a small community where people might always judge you based on what they see about you. Or needless to say, because of what you show to them. It's actually a 'show respect, gain respect' type of thing.
I hope these simple advice will help you to finally get your blog started. But just in case you still having a hard time to do it, remember what Tommy Wiseau's word of wisdom.
Have a great day!
