There are tons of ways to earn rewards on Steemit without actually posting!

And most of them are more fun than a barrel full of monkeys! From contests, and challenges, games, giveaways, and steemgigs, the list goes on and on! If you're having trouble thinking of something to write about, these can be a great way to earn a bit on the side, until you've got a post idea.

For part 2 of this series, I want to spread awareness for some really cool contests that some really cool steemians are creating! These contests will usually require you to "create" something, and submit it to be judged. Contests usually run on a seven day time frame, and payout when the host receives payment for the contest post.

@thatsweeneyguy (yeah... that's me)

I'll start with a shameless self-promotion. I run a weekly Suggestion Contest/Giveaway. Just suggest a cryptocurrency for me to buy and hold as part of my sons' long-term savings, upvote someone else's suggestion, then upvote and resteem the contest. You can win 50% of the liquid payout!

@daveks

runs a weekly Black & White Photo Contest! Every week, there's a new theme, and a new judge! This is a great way to hone your photography skills, and earn some steem doing it!

@improv

started a Pun contest where all you have to do is come up with a pun about the subject he provides, and win an upvote! It's a very pun contest ;)

@sixex

has a cool Travel Trivia Contest in which you have to guess where in the world a series of pictures where taken. You can win up to 75% of the post payout, and learn a lot about the world!

@manishmike10

started a Mobile Photography Contest, and is giving away at least 10 SBD in prizes!

@lepton

runs the Worst Steemit Contest where the idea is to get the least amount of upvotes on your comment. Everyone wins, because everyone will get plenty of upvotes on their comment by other people trying to win!

@varunsangwan

created the Tell Your Story Contest and is not only giving away prizes, but will also be splitting the post reward with everyone who participates! You WILL have to write a post for this one, but the post is all about you!

@jphenderson

supports minnows via the Whaleshares Minnow Support Contest! All you have to do is nominate a quality post by someone with less than 1000 SP. Both the author and the nominator will receive Whaleshares tokens which can be traded for votes on your posts by whales!

Useful. So useful that I resteemed to make sure I'll be able to find it later...

Don't forget about @funkit and the street art community! @thatsweeneyguy

Ok! Cool! "Challenges" are coming up next, so keep an eye out!

Great info. Always looking to increase my interaction here. And learning about opportunities to increase my steam and steam power is helpful. Thanks!

Yeeha! Thanks for the mention! I think I'll run it as a weekly contest. PUN$ 4 LYFE.

I hate contests, makes it a waste of time when you don't win. Plus it just seems to steal away attention from a platforms true purpose. TSU went down that road and it ended up in the trash land of forgotten url's.

So excuse me for skipping out on this no offense.

Thanks for sharing these awesome blogs. Followed and looking forward to more of your posts.

Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by thatsweeneyguy from the Minnow Support Project. Thank you for your series on how to make money here without posting. I really appreciate the help. I'm in the color challenges, but they do not have prizes as far as I know. I just got here and I am trying to learn. This helps me a lot and so I resteemed it and followed you. I'm building up my power to upvote right now :)

Glad this helped! I've got two more of these so far, and I'm currently writing another about challenges!

Keep on steemin' on!

Yes I just browsed through and bookmarked a couple of your posts. I will be eager to see the rest :) I think these group ideas are the best way to post here when I'm just getting started. At least I have a chance to be seen )
