Did you happen to read my recommendation on how to deal with ego flagging?
If flagging were to compromise someone's earnings by messing with their rep or taking some of their Steem Power, people would think about it more before flagging.
Flagging must have consequences for the flagger. If any account can flag without consequence, how long until we have bots hidding content based on a single word?
Well, low rep homies and bots don't cause a lot of problems when flagging. It's only when you're high rank against someone lower rank as far as I can tell.
If you are willing to flag rather than state the reason why you think the material is offensive, then you should pay, even if that means paying with some of your rep.
