Mother's love (poem)

in #steemitlast year

Of all the love that I have known,
None compares to that of my own,
The one who gave me life and more,
Whose love has never ceased to pour.

Her arms were my first cradle bed,
Where I found peace from tears shed,
Her voice the first to sooth my soul,
And wipe away the pain so whole.

She taught me how to walk and run,
Then picked me up when I had undone,
She showed me love in every way,
And showered it on me every day.

Her eyes held dreams of happiness,
For me to reach and never less,
Her prayers were whispered in my ear,
Guiding me on love and to cheer.

A mother’s love is pure and true,
A gift beyond all others, too,
So I thank the heavens above,
For giving me a mother’s love.
