Interesting concept. It may give users the incentive to 'power up' by leasing Steem Power and be more active for a month or so.
The concept of leasing tokens/power is broadening. We can see similar initiatives being build; for instance with EOS. Chintai is working on a solution for leasing out EOS tokens. The concept is not live yet but I am sure it will be popular.
