This is really part of the beauty of the Steemit ecosystem @surpassinggoogle! We have the power and intention to create our own communties, independently of what the "official" Steemit may — or may not — create and launch.
It totally fits with the idea of us all creating the Internet of PEOPLE. We create our own communities!
I can think of few more worthy than @kus-knee who has done a huge amount to bring positive energy to Steemit, and to actively encourage newcomers and old-timers alike.
