Dan & Ned getting desperate to keep the ponzi going
They have added a BUY STEEM POWER button on the front page.
What they don't tell you though is that under 5000$ worth of SP your upvote is worth less than a penny. ( essentially nothing)
Also they don't tell you that blocktrade is taking a massive cut for every transaction.
Have a look at the power distribution here https://steemd.com/distribution
Basically 0.47% of the users owns 90% of steem power
Note: This number doesn't even include Dan & Ned's account @steemit which is about 80% of the whole steem supply.
I went to check some of the thread over there yesterday and the circlejerk is so strong that they actually repeat false information.
The Steemit people are the same sheeple we have in our society. You know those who watch mainstream propaganda, then they go out and repeat the lie as fact, the lie then gets spread among everyone and eventually becomes the perceived reality.
The lie here being that steem power gives you interest and that steem power give the average person some power within the community.
I always thought that people in the crypto space had a superior IQ , but I was wrong. Crypto users are throwing their wage into this thing thinking they will get rich and powerful, sad really...
I upvoted You
Look at their Steem Power. They Obviously see something valuable about the platform. Honestly, STEEM is like on of the few cryptos that have a promising concept. It is a social motivated currency, any social activity done increases the amount of the currency you earn. Now we have an opportunity to get some value for original content that we share with millions of people everyday. On top of that the mobility of crypto plays a major role for the platform's economy making it much easier for people to perform transactions.
You dont have to buy anything to be great in here!
I agree with part of what you say, and disagree with others.
I myself really like the concept of steemit (still do) and so I bought $300 SP when I first joined to 'feel' more apart of the community (thought I might get some upvoting power too). Turns out I completely regret buying any SP as I feel it adds 0 value to my account and had nothing to do with being any more apart of the community than being engaged. I also have 2 friends who joined after me, made some great posts - and how have significantly more SP than myself while investing $0.00 financially (they invested their time) vs. my $300. So on that note - I typically advise all my new friends joining not to even worry about buying any STEEM or SP but rather earning it through posts.
To say Steemit people are the same sheeple we have in our society. You know those who watch mainstream propaganda, then they go out and repeat the lie as fact, the lie then gets spread among everyone and eventually becomes the perceived reality... well you kind of lost me at that point. At the end of the day Steemit is still fundamentally one of the better ideas in crypto IMO.
