Steemit Training for Beginners

This four hour course will introduce you to the world of Steemit, cryptocurrencies and blockchains.  This hands on class will step you through the tools and techniques needed in order to get started with this fast growing, distributed, open source social media site that pays users for their content.  

The instructor for this class is White Walking Feather (steemit.com/@wwf).  He has over 35 years of computer technical and training experience and is now in the top 0.2% of the bloggers on the Steemit blockchain.  He is willing to share that success with others as we all benefit when everyone succeeds.  The "pay-it-forward" concept has helped many other users find success within this platform as well when he started the 'Stewards of Terra Mater' group on steemit.  The learning curve is steep due to the paradigm shift that this platform has introduced.  To help new users, he is willing to share his knowledge and experience. The cost of this course only covers the room as he is donating his time for free!

Requirements:

Each user will need a laptop, mouse, power bar, note pad, pencil, up-to-date browser and a valid and active steemit.com, discordapp.com and imgsave.org (or facebook.com) account.  No experience necessary.  Each individual will need a willingness to learn and a burning desire to meet new people, make friends, be successful and have fun!  

If you don't already have 2 Steem Dollars (SBD), then sign up, login and please comment on this post on why you would like to attend.  Others will then give you the money you need to pay for the course through their generous upvotes!  Payment will happen in class as part of the training.  Having "no money" can no longer be used as an excuse to not participate and improve ones life!  

Sign up:  I will accept the first 15 people who email me at white dot walking dot feather at gmail dot com.  Just replace the 'dot' with a '.' and 'at' with '@' to put that email address together.  If I get more than 15 people wanting the course, I will book more!  Please put 'Steemit Class March 24' in the subject of the email.  I will then respond to you confirming that you made it into the class. DO NOT send me SBD's.  We will settle up during class as part of your training.

Homework:  

Please come to class with a blog entry.  If you are new to steemit, then write something about your self in your word processor.  If you have started blogging already then pick another topic.  We will be making a post as part of your training, but we don't have time to write it.  Please come prepared with a written, ready to go post entry with pictures relevant to your post.  

No recording devices will be allowed as there will be encryption keys there which are private, confidential and sacred.  In order to help keep them safe, I will not tolerate any recording of any kind.

If others want to join us after the class, you are welcome to drop by between noon and 4pm.  Since this is a social media event, it demands that we socialize!  So if you want to see the face that hides behind the avatars we see every day, please drop by and say hello.  These kinds of events help bring awareness to your work, can increase your followers and bring more votes to your blog.  It also allows us to make new friends who can support and encourage our efforts for independence, peace and freedom.

We will do a pot luck lunch, so bring a little something to contribute so that we can demonstrate what true community does:  provide prosperity for all.  By gifting a little we get a lot!
