When peer pressure gets the-best of you !

Beautiful day huh ? Today as usual i was intrigued by some of my clients. The way how they nded up the way they are now. And i felt it was necessay to address this major issue of peer pressure, and how it can actually destroy your life.

So today i am going to give lots of examples to back my theories and make this as much as easy for you.

So there was jeny , she was an introverted girl in her later teens. She wanted people to notice her , she wanted to have some good friends, but the biggest problem was that , she was in college . And as soon as kids land here, they become like mini drunkers , or smokers..or doing bad stuff..or doing something that they always wanted to do but their parents didnt allow. So she wasnt cool enough for them. Thats what she assumed. She never had that self esteem .

So , as she was so desperate not yo end up alone, she decides , that she needs a total makeover. She along with her clubber roommate goes to a piercing salon and gets her tongue pierced. Then it was cutting her hair and dying it. And then it was removing her whole closet of beautiful clothes , to wear, ceop toos , and dresses which are half naked. Well, it got her attention alright. It got her friends too. But the ugly truth was that , nobody respected her, nobody treatedher like a person, everybody looked at her in a bad way. And this sweet girl had mo idea. She had now forgotten who she was before all of this. She started sleping around. She started partying hard. She didnt know what she was even doing since sometimes she had no memory of what had happened, she was leading a life which was very dangerous. Until one day , she becme very sick, and during her check uls found out she had muktiple illnesses , she had STD.

Now my question here is ...if jeny had confidence in her , would she have changed for her peers?

I guess not, i feel its always important to own up to who you are. I know there might be days when you feel like you are not pretty enough or something like that. But im telling you , you were created in gods own image right , so how come you are not pretty enough...younare the most prettiest heh. OWN IT !

Could she have still gone back to who she was ?

It really depends on her, like even after she going through the whole makeover. If she was not scared of ending up alone . Then she would have even turned back. But again has to do with self esteem. And self confidence.

How can we prevent any type of peer pressure?

Firstly , be your own person, guys you might not know how special you are. So give it a try. Be original, be authentic, be real, always be honest about anything. Keep an open mind , but be smart about things.

That pretty much sums up , but i really hope none of us go through such hard situations like jeny.
