Round #52 of the Comment Challenge is here

Welcome to a new round of the comment challenge. I am excited to announce that we have a guest judge this week. Please give a warm welcome to Judge Wes, @wesphilbin.

Wes was the last round's winner and he was very kind to donate 1SBD to the next winner. To show my appreciation for the donation I have kept his delegation running for an extended time. I also asked if he would like to judge this round's challenge and he happily accepted.

I would like to invite you to @wesphilbin blog, please send some love, sprinkle some upvotes and write some awesome comments.

NEW This Round - The challenge is now extended and will run until Sunday morning, previously Friday morning. So the winner will be announced Sunday evening.

Please read on to find out more. Get ready to deliver some fantastic comments. Polish your keyboard and sharpen your mind, I want to see those comments rolling in.

It is vital to get followers, but you also want the correct type of followers. Followers that are genuinely interested in your blog and what you write, and not the “I-follow-you-if-you-follow-me” type. And to attract the right kind of followers, you need to write godlike comments.

This challenge is all about writing those comments.

  • In each challenge a post from a fellow minnow will be featured.
  • The challenge is to write an amazing comment related to that post.
  • I will resteem the post.
  • I will give it a 100% upvote.

This will be part of my campaign to help other Minnows. The #minnowsupportproject helped me and I want to help others.

Join the challenge and practice your skills.

Please join the fun! 💓 💓

Please resteem to help promote this challenge!

Tell your friends to come and join.

Challenge #52 Post - "heyhaveyamet: the recap", by @darrenfj.

This week's featured post is from @darrenfj. An interesting recap post of his first 6 months on the STEEM blockchain. It is not easy to write a blog and to keep motivated. One thing that can make all the difference is the comments received from other Steemians. @darrenfj makes a nice tribute to the @heyhaveyamet community and highlights how they helped him in his early journey.

If you haven't heard about the "Hey Have ya Met (@heyhaveyamet)" initiative I recommend you to check them out as well.

You are free to tackle this one in any way you like. Just do your best giving us a truly amazing comment. If you are out of ideas, at least send a big fat smile to @darrenfj. 😃

Please feel free to drop a comment on @darrenfj's post as well, but remember that a valid entry has to be submitted as a comment to this post.

Please donate, please help a minnow

Had a lovely giggle now. Grumpy mofo much? 🤔 😂 Not fooling me but I like the face you put on for the post. Back to the six month anniversary on steemit. Congratulations for making it thus far. As a fellow newbie I can relate to much you've written here and I've posted similar a while back after bypassing 32 days on steemit. @heyhaveyamet @welcomewagon whom have circled their supportive arms around me so to speak and many many people that I owe thank yous too. This is a great platform with amazing people and support. So much to learn so many snarky and humorous responses I look forward to seeing my notifications each day. I'm often lost and dazed and confused but this I can say, steemit is here to stay!

@dkkarolien

Don't forget your good friends at the @steemterminal ha!! Like I have said... MS kept me away for quite some time when I first started... but I have tried to remain positive; what else can we do? Thanks for the comment, and good luck!

Wes never too be forgotten. Just when hubby's home I stay out it the chat rooms as it eats at our short time together 😊

@darrenfj

Oh man... that's cool; I thought I was the only one who combined the words awesome and sauce together in a sentence! Quite a few people here... hoping on to your post... reading... interacting; quality, positive engagement my friend. Just doesn't get any better than that...

Awesome-sauce!

Myself just getting into steem recently as well, I would consider myself a total newbie. Seeing that a community can make as that much of a difference is just purely amazing. I love seeing communities being active and showing their fellow steemians some love, especially as the one being shown the love hadn't really ever been exposed to such things and what not. And as Deej was saying in his post, the steemit community is different from the typical social network community, no one is trying to one up the other. Having a sense of humor in this day and age is something to be proud of, because everyone seems to have such a serious look on things and never take a moment to realize, if you want to be here, it's because you want to be here, not because your trying to make a quick buck. And personally my experience here has been something of amazing, and I'm glad to see that it's making an impact like it is. And Deej's post was nothing short of genuine and real, and I loved it, I genuinely did. It was nothing fancy, not trying to impress or make it seem like the biggest thing since sliced bread, just him talking about the contest, and his appreciation of the community and whats come of it.

And that's my review of said post. Just a jumble of words on my review trying to make sense lol

@stealthunicorn

That's very well said... and don't forget; you aren't going to knock him off his rock ;) Thanks for joining in... best of luck :)

Confirmed!
Thanks for the comment Stealthunicorn.

thanks @stealthunicorn.. this is pretty much my MO

Also, you name explains why I have never run into a unicorn in real life, and I thank you for clearing that up as well...

well, as a newcomer we always thought we can earn right away in steem. But when time flies by and content never fly. You'll feel disappointed because no bigger account upvote you. It's the harsh truth in steem. But if we don't focus in earning and look into the other side. Everybody will love steem, lot of people you will meet all over the world. There are interesting blog must to read, there are interesting facts in different country. Lastly, you can meet friends that will turn to be your best friend even if you're far from each other. If you will realised that you will love steem..

that's review of the featured post.

@mrnightmare89

Thanks for stopping by; you are correct... more than just financial enticement. Community, engagement, and sharing the love. Good luck to you my friend.

Confirmed!
It is true it is difficult to attract the attention of big accounts and to score big upvotes, but it is not impossible. I think it is important not to set too high expectations. It requires hard work to produce quality content and it takes time to build your reputation(not talking about the STEEM reputation ;) ) and build a following.

The changes suggested for the upcoming hardfork, to move away from a linear reward curve, will hopefully have the positive effects to encourage both production and curation of quality content.

thanks, yeah you are right. Slowly you can understand here now.

This is a lot of what I got out of Livejournal back in the day.. and I approach steem with the same kind of 'hey let's meet people on the interwebs"

@danielsaori

A small token to spread community and positive engagement my friend. Thank you for allowing me to take part of this awesome challenge, AND for the continued delegation... do good, get good :) Also, congratulations @darrenfj for your post being choosen in this #steemitcommentchallenge. Let's see those comments everyone!!

Wes

We are off to a good start! :)
Thanks Wes for helping out this week.

@danielsaori

You are most welcome! A honor to even be considered as a Judge... I certainly hope more Steemians decide to take part in this #steemitcommentchallenge ... surely there are more interesting comments to be had in regards to our friend @darrenfj! We shall see!! Keep those comments rolling my friends!!

wait!!! what did I do now?

looks around

hmmm, no broken glass or anything smashed so I must have missed something!!

@darrenfj

Nothing missed my friend! And NO ONE trying to knock you off the rock! Just waiting for more comments in regards to your post, for this Steemit Comment Challenge #52 Let's see those comments everyone!

For me this is not easy at the the first time i never though should i be like other does will i think it was but its not. Frankly speaking i am not a blogger but when i heard about this platform and curation of steem blockchain i was confuse and i interested it because of what they say that you share a post you can get earnings. But in fact not the steemit platform give us a rewards its the community or people who love the post we share and how we consistent our content be. that is why I am talking now about the leadership because f the leadership is not there; there will be no steemit.com here on social media thank you and god blessed.

Confirmed!
Thanks for dropping by Lamplighter.

I see you have been around for over a year. What is your biggest success so far and what is the most important thing you have learnt during this time?

Yes! i know I accept that i am not a good steemian since when i was an active on the part year because of my family personal needs. I need to stop because of my official work i cant handle the time the day, but for now i am active and i starting my account to powering up!. My biggest success here in steemit is to be a blogger actually i am not a blogger i am a simply guy who leave in a simply leaving with my family and friend. When i heard about this platform my friend offered me to join the community because he said you can earn extra income and I said to him Really? how and why they do that. he explain me a lot and thats the time i start signing up and honestly two times signing up and i am not confirmed maybe that is not my luck. But i am not stop to try it again and Boom I am confirmed last 2017 and here i am now learning how to be a blogger and how to engage the platform and i learn a lot inside I learn how to male a blog, I learn how to make more friends, I learn how trade , and i know how cryptocurrency are, and the most important thing i learn how to be patient. thank you and god blessed.

patience is good..

i am a simply guy who leave in a simply leaving with my family and friend.

This is the kind of stuff that makes a good post.. What are you up to and how to keep it real..

Yes Indeed Thank you @darrenfj ..

@chrismadcboy2016

Yes indeed... patience is a virtue. This really isn't an "overnight success" story here. But giving quality responses... interacting with people... having manners (Oh my! lol)... We are all part of the chain here... one "bad" link hurts us... I also understand family issues... and family should always come first, and I assure you, no one should feel negative that you had been away for that reason! I apologize for the late reply; I too was spending time with family... I wish you luck my friend!

Greetings! @wesphilbn you comment is highly appreciated No worries no need to apologize i am a cool guy who understand what the circumstances we face everyday.. thank you and Yes i am a lucky friend to have you ...

It is down to the wire my friends!!

We have seen some wonderful comments, on behalf of @darrenfj's @heyhaveyamet contest. I just wanted to express my gratitude again, to @danielsaori for his continued friendship... and allowing me to help as a Judge on this...

Steemit Comment Challenge #52

Not to steal the show... but I will share a link just in case any old or new Steemians, would like to see just what the @steemterminal is about! Thanks again for all of your engagement, and comments!! This was a very fun #challenge, and hopefully, I can help in the future...

Wes

SteemTerminalBanner.jpg

The @heyhaveyamet is a welcome initiative which focuses on a genuine and meaningful introductory post. Though they never poped into my introductory post, I must confess it has been really helping new steemains to gain ground, meet new people and feel at home.

In one of the introductory post I saw, I realized these goup of people were friendly, willing to assist and show newbie the way forward.

Their attitudes towards the guy is of no difference to yours @darrenft. I see it as a small composed family with a great mindset.

No one can achieve success alone. However, meeting and associating with great set of people who care about you and what you do and are willing to uplift you to the top will take you there.

One thing is for sure! You have to contribute your own quota to the growth of the community or else you might be left behind. And you might even give up on the way. I know a lot of people who have given up on the way. Move on. It takes time, patience and perseverance to there.

Big thanks to @heyhaveyamet for their wonderful initiative to carry newbies along.

Confirmed!
Thanks for the comment @maxwellmarcusart. I wish you the best of luck.

Thank @danielsaori. Best regards.
