How to study tips - Tips to help students and parents - Part 14
Here are some tips for the day that you actually write a test!
- Arrive early!
- Make sure that you have eaten a healthy meal and that you are not thirsty.
- Go to the bathroom.
- Make sure you are dressed comfortably.
- Make sure to have all your tools with you. Calculator pencils
- Sit as close to the front of the room. You can hear instructions better.
- You will probably get the test first if you sit in the front row.
- Take time to read through the test. Take a pencil and mark all the questions that you know the answer for.
- Leave the longer questions and start with the shortest questions first.
- Work our approximately how much time you have for each section of the test.
- Set goals. Even for a multiple choice test, you will need to work out how much time you have per question.
After completion of the test, please read through the test again. Read your answers carefully and make sure that you numbered/labelled your answers correctly.
Do NOT change any answers. The first answer you wrote is usually the correct answer. Only if you are a 100 % sure that you made a mistake, you may change an answer.
After you checked your paper/test, you can fill in all the answer you missed or left out. Take a guess. Who knows? You might just guess correctly and more than one teacher has given a mark for originality!!
