Give children confidence with sock puppets

Today is just going to be a fun day for the kids. We are going to teach childrem to make sock puppets.  

I do not think there is a house in the world that does not have socks without mates. 

I have often thought that socks have their own feelings and run away somewhere as there is always a loose sock or two that does not have a mate.

Today we are going to find a way to pair them up with a new mate. We are making sock puppets and they will all be friends. 

These sock puppets can teach children such a lot. By playing with them they can have spelling contests, multiplication contests and many more wonderful things we can teach them with a sock puppet. 

Remember is they are very small children they will need a little help with scissors and glue, but they are so easy to make.

Once they have their puppets, you can ask them to spell words with them or you can make them read stories so that they think it is more fun. 

I am putting a video in here for you to see how easy it is to make them and if the children name them you can start teaching them by sock name. 

This is not something I write about often but this will be homework for steemit. 

If the child plays with the sock, they will not realise that it is them doing the talking. This can make them think it is the sock, as the socks have names. 

When your child is a little shy or scared, tell them to make the sock talk and this will give them confidence as they are now talking as the sock.

They can learn their spelling and a lot of work that they still do not understand as they will enjoy using their socks so much, this will give them confidence. 

When you notice that they know the work, ask them to take the sock away and say spell the word on their own. Once they see they can do that, they will feel so much better as the socks may make mistakes but when they do it there will not be any mistakes. 

You can now say see you can spell this and the sock cannot so there are so many ways to teach them confidence by using a sock. This will make them so happy.

The fact that they made them for themselves will make it just so much nicer as you can now teach them confidence because they all made these beautiful sock puppets and tell them just how smart they are. 

So teaching children to have confidence can be easier than we think as this will help them by doing it this way. 

There are lots of other ways as well but this can be such a fun way. I hope you all make beautiful sock puppets and that you enjoy playing with them as much as I enjoyed showing you how to make them.
