Quick & Fun Experiments: Elephant Toothpaste!
Today's experiment is the elephant toothpaste experiment! This experiment is a fun activity for the whole family and doesn't require a lot of time to prep and complete. If you want to know more about this experiment, keep scrolling down!
What you'll need:
- Food colouring of your choice
- 3% Hydrogen peroxide
- 1 Packet of dry yeast
- 4 Tablespoons of water
- Empty 2 Liter bottle
- Bowl for mixing
- Dish wash soap
What to do:
- Pour 240ml of hydrogen peroxide into the 2 liter bottle.
- Add a drop or two of food colouring into the bottle.
- Add a squirt of dish wash soap.
- In a bowl, combine 1 packet of dry yeast with 4 tablespoons of warm water and mix until the yeast has completely dissolved.
- Now add the yeast mixture into the bottle and watch the chemical reaction happen!
