Quick & Fun Experiments: Rain Cloud Jar

Today's experiment is the rain cloud jar experiment! This experiment is a great, easy and fast way of explaining how clouds get really heavy with droplets and soon after that they break free and fall onto the ground. The shaving cream will obviously represent the cloud and the blue food colouring will represent the rain.

What you'll need:

  • Mason Jar
  • Shaving cream
  • Water
  • Food colouring
  • Dropper

What to do:

  1. Fill a mason jar with water.
  2. Secondly, add some shaving cream over the water.
  3. Using a dropper, add a few drops of food colouring onto the shaving cream and watch it all go down.
