Cause of Hyperactivity in Children

in #steemiteducation6 years ago

Hyperactivity is often caused by a medical condition called TDAH.

TDAH : This is a brain condition that usually causes children to move and talk nonstop. It is actually the result of a "wiring" of the brain that works a little slower than normal. Think of the game Frozen, Defrosted. With ADHD, the brain takes longer to start and "move forward". But he also has trouble stepping on the brake and "stopping."

TDAH is a frequent cause of hyperactivity in children, but it is not the only possible cause. Other conditions can cause children to move and talk a lot for different reasons. Here are some of the difficulties you can read and talk with your
child's doctor.

Being hyperactive is not simply that the child moves around. Children may have additional movements, even when doing small things, such as tying their shoes, writing or playing an instrument

Children with ADHD also tend to be impulsive and have difficulty paying attention. ADHD may look different at different ages. For example, a child in preschool could be prone to accidents, while a child in elementary school might be unable to sit still long enough to finish his homework.

How to improve

Talk with your child's teacher: Hyperactivity can affect learning. That's why it's a good idea to talk with your child's teacher. Together they can combine strategies for the classroom that can help, such as using a secret signal to keep your child focused on the task.

Talk to your child's doctor: Take your notes to the next visit and share your concerns with your child's doctor. The doctor may want to rule out hyperthyroidism and other medical causes that may be the cause of this hyperactivity.
