TEACH IN YOUR ABSENCE

Learning which is a continuous process in human life needs that stake holders of this process effectively play their different roles. It is also of standards that formal learning in schools contribute a greater deal in knowledge which one acquires throughout his/her life. Though learning can be everywhere and at any time, the stakeholders for the formal sector in particular (teachers) are the target in this post as those to ease and facilitate this learning to learners even out of the formal set up before it can be practical that they are the light of the world.

Learning needs are far more demanding in the world of today if compared with the colonial period when a few writing materials and text/course books which a reader could be only made sponsors, learners and teachers satisfied with learning conditions. Though sponsors continue to struggle for the provision of these needs, a teacher’s role in providing on enabling learning environment goes beyond that. Remember this must not only be in school if you actually need that your environment should be fully integrated with you inclusive.

A more enabling learning environment beyond the use of writing materials and textbooks is that which is rich of a variety of learning materials which learners exploit with keen attention which sometimes has much curiosity than when they participate in a lesson you deliver.
Think of the irregularities within you official working such as absenteeism after applying for permission, accidents (not a wish for these irregularities) and funerals of intimate friends and family members.
Then, what effort and magic can best put back things at a balance if you had not provided a learning environment for your learners to learn in your absence.

With the above-mentioned conditions some lessons you had never planned to teach your learners will be assimilated not under your physical presence. Some learning activities pertaining to my projected learning materials can be; spellings/dictation, naming, grouping, reading, drawing, colouring/painting), compositions etc.

If I am serious in these ideas, I will think that this can be set up even at home as I have done with the present situation in my area where schooling is a hide and sick affair.
