Yeah... Sun devils or something like that. I saw the infamous "Phoenix Lights" when I was there in '96 too. But like I said these you couldn't see with the naked eye

I have a moon in the cloud pic I took awhile back with my old Canon that looks almost identical.
I for a moment was wondering if perhaps it was how the light of the moon was interacting with some kind of particle (cloud) in the atmosphere.
It's possible... also in one of the last pics I shot there seemed to be 2 specs. Your guess is as good as mine!
