This is my Mom. ❤️

She is a dentist. Actually, both of my parents are dentists. Currently, my mom is practicing her profession in Saudi Arabia. She had me when she was about to graduate back in the year 1994. She was still able to graduate because she thought that she needed to finish all her requirements right before she gives birth. My parents were married April 25 of the same year. My father took the dentistry licensure exams ahead of my mom because my mom got pregnant with her second baby after i was born. She needed to take care of us that's why she never had the chance to enroll in a review center just like my father did. She passed the Dental Board exams in 1997. Three years after she graduated.

Even when my Mom was already a dentist, she needed to do extra work because she needed to raise two daughters. My dad during those times chose to stay in his province. So my mom was left with all the responsibility of taking care of us and working for us at the same time. She sold books, insurance , and practiced dentistry as an associate dentist.

When my sister and I were in elementary, i saw how my mom worked hard for the both of us. She always gave us what we needed. She even lets us celebrate our birthdays in school. Then came another blessing. My mom became pregnant with my youngest sister. This time, my grandma told my mother to bring us to the province of my father. So my father would also share with the responsibility of taking care of us. Do not get me wrong, my father is also working but his practice as a dentist is not that strong and popular. And my dad chose to stay in his comfort Zone, in his parents's house where his clinic is.

My mom had to earn more money to support the three of us. She became a civilian dentist in Philippine Military Academy(PMA). So the three of us studied in La Union Province and my mom had to travel twice everyday to be with us in the evening. She woke up 3:30 am and travelled to Baguio City then will ride the service bus going to PMA. There, she would work for 8 hours. Then she would again go home to La Union at 7pm just to stay with us. The bus ride from baguio to San Fernando will take 1 and a half to two hours. So everyday my mom travelled like that. I was so scared those days because it was a risk and my mom's safety was always on the line. I knew it was hard for her.

I was in 3rd year High school when my mother was given the oppurtunity to work abroad. She needed the money because her salary in PMA wouldn't be enough for our college education. My aunt, who was also a dentist in Saudi asked my mom to join her there because there was an opening. And so my mom did. I knew she never wanted to leave us, my youngest sister was only 7 years old, i was 15 and the second was 13. It was her greatest sacrifice. Now my aunt followed her husband in Jeddah, KSA. So my mom is living alone in Bisha, KSA. It is a plane ride away from Jeddah.

It wasn't easy for us too. I am not used to being separated to my mom. She was my only friend. I cried a lot those days. I missed her. My father was there but he is not as supportive as my mom. MY dad was reserved. He just let us be. My sister ven, the second child, got pregnant at the age of 16. And my mom felt bad about it. After 2 years, i also got pregnant. This time my mom blamed herself for leaving us. But i dont blame her. It was our fault and there was no one to blame but us. Still our mother supported us. She let us finish school. She gave us money, gadgets, travel leisure, she bought clothes for her grandchildren, loved them, took care of them. I was spoonfed by my mom. She even gave me a brand new car as a graduation gift

My Mom is MY BIGGEST BLESSING. She is incomparable. My superhero, my best friend. I wish and pray that i could be as beautiful and strong like her as a person and as a mother. I admire her so much because of all her sacrifices. We broke her heart a million times and yet she never gave up on us. God has given me the BEST MOTHER IN THE WORLD. ❤️
