I have a family matters to attend to, but I will try to be around if possible (Unfortunately I can't guarantee that), or at least I'll try contribute with advice, questions and maybe even answers ;-)

Please note that naming convention is very important here, especially when we talk about growing the platform.

Steemit Growth Forum

It should be called "Steem Growth Forum", i.e. not Steemit.
Same goes for Steem Platform and Steem Community.

Steemit site and Steemit Inc. team are very important components of our platform, but still they're just subset of this universe. They are doing great job (upcoming: HF20, appbase, SMTs, data services, community consensus layer, etc, etc) but they are not alone.

Also, please do not overestimate the role of the witnesses. We are here to serve the platform by providing security and reliability. It's up to YOU, users = stakeholders how Steem would look like in the future.
