Vermicomposting! A check-in on our 10month old worm colony, with some tips and tricks. :D

We've had our worm bin for almost a year now!

This project has been a massive success and we have expanded our worm farm to two large bins! Come along while we talk about what we have learned along the way and feed our growing colonies!

I couldn't get my phone to play it, which is very sad as I would like to see your progress. I can watch it when I get home! Thank you for putting it together for us.

Bravo! I applaud your composting project, with worms to assist.
Have you looked into #entomophagy - eating mealworms, grubs, crickets, insects of various kinds, to ease the environmental strain of livestock, and because our ancestors also ate bugs and some countries have them as gourmet items on the menu? My only obstacle is #1, I don't garden much or grow my own food (I can't eat cute furry mammals with eyes if I raise them myself); #2, buying worms online is more expensive than buying steak at the local butcher. But I digress. #Worms are awesome! (And I could never bring myself to eat a cute praying mantis, even if it wasn't endangered.)

Thanks!! We love our worms and how they help our gardening endeavors! ♥
Nope, I cant say that I have! I know it exists, and that insects can be a great source of nutrients, but I have never felt the urge to delve into that! :D
