Whenever we visit our garden, we want to make sure our flower buds are all open, but when we purchase flowers from the flower shop, most people would advise us to choose slightly opened flowers or still tightly closed so that they'll stay longer.

I would like to share a trivia about a flower bud. First, we need to know and understand that plants use their flowers as means of reproduction. With the help of different factors such as wind and insects, plants spread their seeds and multiply. This is an important part of any plant's life.

However, do you know that some flowers depend on ants before they bloom? Peony is an example of this. Its flower remains tightly shut until the ants find their way inside the flower. Once they have access to the flower, it begins to open and bloom. So, without those tiny little creatures, flowers like the peony would not be seen blooming in the garden.
