Hello guys it’s your most favorite mc again @mcrich you can also call me your CRYPTO-MC lol. This time I
will be giving some pointers on the difference between an MC (i.e. master of ceremonies),OAP(on air
personality), and a comedian. I know you’ve seen your favorite microphone holders perform on stage
and you be like “what does this guy really do self” also many have asked me to teach them how to be
“emcees” and other related questions but with few minutes of your time you might just understand this
small concept and use them well. Remember knowledge is power. HAVE FUN!!!!

  1. Mc or emcee (master of ceremonies): these category of performers is specialized in
coordination or say control of events. An mc might not necessarily be funny but most have what
it takes to keep the crowd stirred till the event is over. The point here is most comedians who
have gone through some form of training to know the dos and don’ts of an event setting can
also be an mc. Imaging having a very funny comedian with also good oratory skills mc your
    event,
its just like using a thing to serve two purposes simultaneously. This is because the comedian
will have enough jokes to say in between activities of the event and make the event really fun.
Conclusively an mc is also expected to know much about event management as the success or
failure of the event he is mastering is in his hands.

  2. On Air Personality (OAP): you can as well call these guys PRESENTERS. They specialize in
controlling activities on radio stations and also TV stations too. As the name implies, they have
specialty in captivating audience they never know nor see. But these guys are really good at
what they do and it takes years of practice to be an OAP. This is much harder than emceeing and
compering combined but then a good OAP can master any ceremony with ease.

  3. Comedians: okay... now these are crazy set of individuals. they dedicate their lifetime to making
people laugh. Ribs crackers as others will call them. This is the most creative of all the three, I
mean it is not easy to make 1 individual laugh then talk more of a crowd of thousands and tens
    of thousands.
Well... though comedians can be very funny on stage and they also have what it takes to carry a
large number of people along like for hours, most of them are not really good comperes and
most time people make the mistake of giving a comedian an emcee’s job and then you’ll notice
that there will be consequences such as time delay, mismanagement of event and other
    unspeakable event malfunctions.
So there you have it, now you know which of these categories of professionals to call for which event.
And always remember they are some individuals who have been blessed with the ability to carry out this
functions without stress. Though it is really stressful but then with a reasonable amount of hard work
    anything can be achieved.
Thanks for your time I hope you’ve learnt a lot today…. Make sure you remember to UPVOTE and also
