What price should STEEM be ?

So yesterday I saw a post by @whatageek he was asking what price we think Steem should be.

I find this as an important question that shows your view of our blockchain. A bunch of people were saying at least $1 and upwards. I feel that view is from the people on the blockchain looking for a jumping off point. If Steem hits $1 a ton of those frustrated users will cash out and drive the price down.

So that is view one and it is a short sighted view.

Now my view is Steem should be around $.25 and a trading range up to $.50. The reason for this is I really want to be able to onboard new users. With what little you can do on the blockchain with limited RC at low Steem. We need new users to have enough Steem to function on the blockchain.

Let’s take an example of giving every new account 25 SP to start. Would it be easier to get a new user to buy in with $25 or $10 ???

Now let’s take business that want to start on the blockchain, they want to give customers FREE Steem accounts. It is much easier to pay $10 then $25.

We are in the early days and need business’s to be attracted to Steem. If you want to see $1 Steem this year, what are you doing to help that ? Are you investing ? Supporting others who are ?
