Hi Everyone, @steemcafe This episode of 1 on 1 we have one of the hardest working Steem people out there. @yabatmatt. He is the creator of Steembotracker. A wildly popular website for vote services.

Also he is one of the creators along with @aggroed of STEEM MONSTERS! Say What!?! I don't know if anyone could have predicted how popular Steem Monsters would be. Thank You Thank You.

We had a blast talking about so many things Steem. This man loves Steem & our incredible community. And it shows.

We plan on hosting & having a LIVE in person Steem Monsters tournament in Toronto for the Steem Creators Conference. Sept 5-8, 2018.

Great interview! I learned quite a few things.
I love the little nuggets of information dropped in your post and the interview. 👍

A quick heads up, there are a few typos in your post that probably need correcting:

@yabatmatt -> @yabapmatt
predictef -> predicted

I live in the Toronto area, so I can't wait for this Steem Creators Conference, especially if there's going to be a LIVE in person Steem Monsters tournament!

I'm really impressed with the way that steemmonsters is taking a big picture approach to building and enhancing an ecosystem. This project has great potential to expand the reach of STEEM greatly, and introduce people to the system who might not have otherwise found the STEEM blockchain. The payment integration is strategically monumental.

Besides the obvious big win with ease of use and onboarding new users, it's clear from this interview and the work that has been done to date that steemmonsters is committed to a decentralized model. Because of the openness, many different actors have an opportunity to integrate with the application, provide alternative interfaces, and experiment. This is huge. I could go on and on about the implications. Instead, I'll shut up and get back to writing code to integrate with the monsters.
