Telos, currently has less name recognition than other blockchains, won’t this affect dapps user acquisition?
You're right, this may affect dapp user aquisition somewhat. But we are making a lot of big marketing moves that will be increasing the name recognition of Telos. For example, at least two major crypto podcasts with 75K-200K subscribers are going to be reporting on Telos within days or weeks. A major marketing firm is also coming onboard to market Telos. And we have our Telos Works WPS funded marketing efforts that have been picking up steam over the past few months. We also have had larger crypto press outlets picking up news and even some non-crypto news outlets like Yahoo News, abc.com, Marketwatch, etc. Further, we have joined well respected blockchain trade associations.
It takes longer for grassroots projects like Telos to gain traction, but I think we are moving past the days of low name recognition. Telos has been the #2 project on Blocktivity.info for months now so more and more people are learning about us.
Attracting real users and mass adoption is a problem for Blockchain projects. So how will telos solve this problem?
Great question!
Telos has been working towards making onboarding easy. For example, anyone can go to https://app.telos.net and create a free Telos account in about 30 seconds with just a phone number. We also are creating ways to easily buy TLOS with just a credit card or bank transfer without any KYC.
We are about to release Telos Login to let users easily log-in to dapps and other accounts using a simple Telos account as a secure password provider (oauth).
A lot of the tools you'll see right now on app.telos.net are still simple, but the new and prettier UI is coming out soon. Telos will include blockchain level avatars, status, links, and even blockchain based LIKE and TRUST tokens called sentiment tokens that can also be badges on accounts, game stats, etc. So a lot of social media concepts are in use by Telos at the blockchain level so that any dapp can use them.
Of course, it's dapps that are really going to be bringing on users. A blockchain is just the platform that these dapps build on. That's why Telos is focused on creating the best tools and platform for dapps and even helping them get funding from Telos Works and other sources to get off the ground.
and is telos have anything special than other projects similar telos?
1 more tlosp , your smart, you got two
Wow! I love this. Infact, this is the news of the Year. Lol. Getting to know that the owner of Telos Network is actually gonna get on a AMA session on Steem Blockchain.
Aside the fact that we have TLOSP the @steem-engine Telos pegged asset which is outstanding, I hope to see more innovations that will result in the integration of this two blockchains.
This a great project, i am really hapoy to be aware of, Just asking what will be your planz to make this projects somethung better than bitcoin?
Bitcoin is an amazing project with its own use cases. Telos is also an amazing project but with different use cases than Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is like a lumbering tank that can't be stopped, but only has a few real uses--mainly as money.
Telos on the other hand is very fast and it can carry a ton of transactions. So imagine a luxury car that can carry as much as a much as a delivery truck and that's as fast as a race car that is taking directions on what to do by the passengers. That's more like Telos. It's more pleasant to use, it can do a LOT of work, it's super fast, and it's governed by the community far more than any other blockchain.
There are a lot of great use cases where Telos will shine. First, I think is in enabling every dapp to have great governance tuned exactly to its users' needs. Telos Decide governance tools make this possible beyond what any other blockchain offers. Telos is already being used for supply chain and provenance transparency and that will only grow. There will be carbon credits recording and trading soon on Telos thanks to its ideal integration with IoT devices like smart meters. Already proof of concepts and prototypes are running on Telos and they'll be expanded soon by real businesses.
So I thing there are a lot of great use cases where Telos will be better than any other chains, particularly Bitcoin--for these specific uses. That doesn't take anything away from the greatness of Bitcoin.
i will be handing out $100 worth of RICh SQRL SAND and QBE and TLOSDAC to first few people who actually get their @sqrl wallet https://sqrlwallet.io
Why is telos important to the blockchainworld
Telos is important to blockchain and the world because it represents a new frontier in putting individual users in charge of the chain itself. Like other Graphene chains, you can vote for the witnesses or block producers who operate the chain. But Telos goes a lot farther. Users can vote on the governance rules that drive code development. They can also vote on which groups of developers are paid to create code for the chain. So while anyone can create and propose code if they like, only those voted by the Telos users will be paid for it and only those whose code is voted by the user-elected BPs will have their code deployed on the Telos chain. This makes Telos one of the first blockchains where the regular users get to decide through their votes who the core developers of the chain are. It's the only chain where users can fire the core developers and hire different ones if they choose.
Telos also gives all kinds of dapps an easy set of tools to have powerful governance features in their own dapp or DAC so that their users can also drive the development of their project. This is probably even more important in some ways because the real place that all of these interactions will happen is at the dapp level. The chain level will be considered pretty boring soon. It's all about the dapps, really.
By making governance easy for these dapps, there will be an explosion of governance experiments. New features can be added to the protocol for all other apps so there's very little duplication of effort. And because there's a built-in funding mechanism to drive new development (also voted by the users!) these new features will come much more quickly than on most platforms. So Telos will become the world's incubator for new ideas about governing people and dapps. This is crucial because most of the world's governments are failing in some respect and it's actually quite hard and costly to test new ideas and structures at the national level. But it's easier at the blockchain level and the more experiments, the more chances to learn and iterate.
So that's one thing that is unique about Telos and important to the world.
Thanks to @banjo by @inertia for the great discord tip bot with many other features , its a data recall bot, it also shows some analysis of blockchain data like i can calll up $supply or $inflation commands and get data from the chain , come look at https://steemspeak.com or add banjo on any discord here https://steemit.com/@banjo link in profile

Thanks. You didnt ask a question but heres 1 TLOSP anyway
Some great comments about STEEM from Douglas Horn on Discord (and he is on Steem-Engine Discord )
SOunds as fresh as Bill Clinton himself in the Nasdaq Golden Age. After these initial bumps with telos from its exchange reserve situation where people are possibly selling Telos they got from just holding EOS, well, after that Bitcoin BCH style forkenomics blow over, well, then we will see people promoting the governance of telos, and the PUBLIC SECTOR potential for telos to be used by governments and universities who have budgets and who need to stake blockchain resources. To me it reminds me of the 1980s Oracle CIA deals where database services had to be purchases and billions were made, for a company that's still chugging along today. Telos could become a similar situation, but I see it as like the KBPS of the blockchain, subsidies keeping it alive forever and also, contributions from users like you
In many ways, Telos is a living representation of what many people thought Steem would become. I think Telos and Steem are probably the most similar of blockchain projects in terms of what the desires and values of the real users are. While Steem is still an awesome platform, there were some missteps along the way that have limited its usage.
But the real power of Steem is in the passion and vision of the Steemian community. I would love to see that community discover Telos and see for themselves how aligned the two are. A number of prominent Telos members came from the Steem community. I think there's still a chance to grow this community into what we all want: a positive, working, egalitarian blockchain community that is also a technological leader and has working governance -- AND a large user base. Telos + Steem would make that dream a reality.
I love all the work ackza is doing to bridge the two communities. We have the TLOSP pegged Telos token on Steem. But the really cool step would be to create the STEEM-pegged token on Telos. That way, Steem users who like the Telos platform don't have to give up their Steem to take part in Telos. Instead, we can use the new IBC (interblockchain) tools like Transledger to securely move Steem to Telos and give it value there. We can also port great Steem games to Telos pretty easily.
I sort of feel like Justin Sun is doing a hostile takeover of Steemit. Not hostile to people like Ned, but hostile to a lot of the users who are here because of a set of shared vision that I personally don't see on Tron. (But DO see on Telos.) So a part of me would love to see the real stakeholders in Steemit--the users--vote with their feet and come to a chain that is better aligned with their values. And I think Telos can help make that a lot easier to do by creating tools to let users bring over their Steem to Telos so they don't lose their value.
