in #steemph7 years ago

Yes you heard and saw it right, salaries of our policeman had increase for almost 30%-100%.

I am not against their salary increase but I guess this is just way too much compared to other professionals out there like engineers, teachers, nurses etc., In fact they will be at the top of the highest paid jobs in the philippines.

Engineers, Teachers and Nurses average monthly salary could be Php. 25,000 with 1-5yrs of work experienced now let us compare it to "unexperienced PO1" with a monthly salary of Php. 29,668 still bigger than experienced professionals.

Before being a professionals we invested a lot of sleepless nights studying and performing well in school regardless of the situation we work our ass out to be able to achieve our dreams still the salaries that we are getting cannot even paid the effort that we did just to be able to get here and is not even enough to raise and start your own family.

It is very unfortunate that for so many years professionals like nurses and teachers need to beg to the government just to raise their salaries?

DO WE REALLY NEED TO WALK ON STREET PROTESTING JUST TO GET THE COMPENSATION WE DESERVE?

I do not want to make this long but I guess you understand the point.

Really unfortunate why philippine professionals choose to work overseas than to stay. The only thing that increasing here are TAXES. LOL.

If you compare yourself with others,

That's a quote from Desiderata by Max Ehrmann.

I do agree with you that engineers and other professions you mentioned are paid less (statistically) in our country. BUT i don't think we have to compare ourselves with one another the mentality i guess somehow maybe that is leaning towards an awful "crab mentality"

Instead, we can argue this way

I am an engineer, the value of my craft deserves this X amount of salary or gratitude. I work hard too and value my own time.

Let's argue positively and maybe we can achieve things easily this way, rather than being supremacist and instigating the government for oppression.

Thanks for opening my mind and for the warm advice sir. I appreciate that, maybe I've been very jealous on their increase but I get it. Thanks tol :).

Wow!
That's the making of an unbalanced society

Could you let me know why their salaries were increased

I guess the president wants to increase their salaries that is all I know man. But thanks :).

Engineers are paid too little right? Unless if you move into a management or consulting position or start your own business.

I have nothing against increasing their salaries if we will be safer,I mean they are putting their lives on the line everyday. Considering the Senior Police Officer IV is paid about Php35000 and it is a high position that will take years to get to, its reasonable or could be bigger to accomodate for family needs and not make them tempted by bribery.

Yes mam tama po kayo. Very few good opportunities, unless mapaswerte ka ng mapasukang company. Talagang yong effort mo sa work sobrang sobra sa salary.
