Amazing Place To Be
The weekend is here once again, most people i know is excited about weekends, for working guys like me for example, it is a time for rest and relaxation, time for the family and the kids, spending time time with them is truly a wonder, a treasure beyond compare, but one of the most thrilling part of it, for me personally, is spending a little bit of time at the nearby weekend market, it is one of those places that relaxes me the most, it is a special type of recreation for me, it relaxes the tired mind and body and it certainly veers me away from the basic anxieties of the day to day life. Being with the family in visiting the place is best, but worse comes to worse when i have to visit the place on my own, it still gives me the same good ole feeling.
This place is located inside the compound of the former Food Terminal in Taguig City, popularly known as FTI Compound. Although the place is no longer government owned and is currently undergoing major development by it's new owner - Ayala Land, they are now setting it up as a major urban hub similar to Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the area not for long will become totally the opposite of what it was before, from a quiet nest for factories and refrigerated warehouses to a busy hustle and bustling commercial facility with high rise condominiums, stores, high-end restaurants and major foodchains. The place will become known by it's new name Arca South.
This particular market just never ceases to amaze me, the mere fact that it has been around for quite a while now, it is a place where a crowd from various walks of life converge at, and there is no such thing as one being rich or poor, no matter what the status in life is, in this place, the playing field is levelled in a sense that when you purchase your choice of item, you are attended to fairly, there is no such thing as one being much more moneyed to be attended to first than the one who has less, first come first served as the saying goes. When looking at it, you can therefore conclude that this place arrives to all people that has a symbiosis of thought among others.
Describing this place simply by it's location is only the tip of the iceberg, let us get to the nitty-gritty of the place now. I noticed that it is not really a vast area, actually when you visit the place, you might even consider it as small, but, the amazing part of it is it's array of products, from the basic food choices and it is quite an amount of choices at that, base on experience it is truly quite sumptuous, a magnificent display of true cooking prowess, relatively cheap as well, a meal from a 1 viand selection which can be shared by 1-2 persons will cost around P100 pesos and a cup of rice for only P10 pesos is already considered as satisfying and heavenly.
But wait, there's more. We need not only talk about the food, it actually extends up to raw ingredients, for they have a section for the wet market, for the seafoods, meat and vegetables, a number of fruit stalls, native delicacies. And if you like to shop for something else besides food, you can check out the clothing stalls, hardware and tools for the home, plastic products, and, for the green thumbed and pet lovers, they have plants and birds as well.
So now, how do you find it? Would it be worth your while if you should find time to drop by and pay a visit, well guys, for those who can access the area, why not, i feel that it would be worth it to check it out. Hoping that you enjoyed this experience that i am sharing with you my fellow Steemians, hoping as well that your weekend will be an enjoyable and a blissful one, til next time guys, Ciao!
