9 Reasons Why It's Essential To Have a Daily Routine

in #steempress5 years ago (edited)

'You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.''

John Calvin Maxwell

Routine is a two-faced word. For some, it may seem old-school or prison-like, for others - it's a way to success. For BOI, it's a start because kids need routine to maintain a healthy balance in their lives and BOI is still just a kid in this Blog Town. I'm growing and learning! And we hope - so are you!

Today we will talk about our daily routines and question - why having a daily routine can completely change your life around? Read below and contemplate. This can change your life!

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is a habit.”

Aristotle

1. Fewer Decisions - More Energy And Time

When you have a daily routine to follow, there is no need to think about your plans for the day and what things to concentrate on. You know what you're going to do at a certain time, therefore, you're saving your precious mind power and time.

It makes you more efficient. Especially after new habits are created as a result of following your self-made routine.

2. Tasks Get Done

With a carefully planned routine, you won't have to worry about deadlines anymore. Instead of putting everything off, you will work on the stuff that needs to be done.

Why? Because it's the plan, and for it to work - you have to go with it. You have to believe in yourself and the power of what you do.

Not having to do everything at the last moment will also save you your nerve cells. Not saying you will become worry-free but the stress level in your life will definitely decrease.

3. Positive Habits Replace Negative Ones

Having a daily routine is not only about professional work that needs to be done in order to succeed. It's also about you and your self-improvement. Everything else comes after you've managed to deal with yourself.

Changing just one thing in your daily regime could possibly change your whole life. For example, instead of scrolling your social media the first thing in the morning, you could do a breathing exercise, a five-minute meditation to get your day going on your own terms and not what social media feeds you.

One thing that you must always remember is that your smartphone is a tool. Use it to create new things and learn new things. Read more about the way we could use our smartphones here.

4. Mastering New Skills

It's the constant learning that keeps us young. Our minds need to work out to be in the best shape that's why it's important to learn something new every day.

If you include time for this in your daily schedule, soon you will master new skills. It will become a habit to learn something new and then nothing will be able to stop you.

You'll be in the flow and in love with what you're doing.

5. Sorting Out Priorities

When you're creating your daily schedule, you will have to sort out your priorities. How much time of the day you will dedicate to certain things and projects.

You definitely have things to work on. Many things. Think in terms of payroll. Which projects can bring you the most money, and is it a short-term or a long-term project?

Which will benefit the most for your personal growth? What is the most important thing to you? Owning a dream car or opening the third eye? It's all personal for each and every one of us so you will have to decide on your own.

6. Building Confidence

As you start following your daily routine, you will naturally accomplish more things in a month than you would by being a hipster type worker (working when you want in the most questionable environment).

Seeing your results will make your confidence levels rise. Achieving things you've planned is a great dopamine boost (and you won't need the social media notifications to get your happiness).

7. Sleeping Like a Baby

Everyone knows the importance of having a good night's sleep but does the knowledge really help? Without a daily routine, we often tend to work on things when it's way past bedtime.

While you may get some things done working late, it's much better to wake up early and start the day on your own terms and not rushing to work. Overall it will only save you time.

With a daily schedule to follow, you'll know it's time for sleep. You have worked your ass off all day and now you can have a good rest. A stress-free flight through your dreamland to reenergize for the day.

8. Efficiency Boost

When you do the same thing at a certain time for a while, you start noticing patterns you didn't see before. For example, writing a dream journal every morning can open you up to new insights about your life, your values, and your personal needs.

You'll see how your thinking changes according to the time of the day. Your body and mind will get used to these things so you will become better at them.

You'll work faster and the flow will be amazing. Believe BOI, he's trying it now and feels lucky that he made himself a schedule to follow. It's how this blog was made - read about it here.

9. Calm, Patience and Consistency

When we work on random things at random times, we want the results right away and it's the reason we often get disappointed. If there's no consistency to what we're doing, we can get frustrated and it's not the best way to live your life.

With a positive routine, you will become more patient because you'll know things need time to work out. Being consistent is a must if you want to achieve anything.

With time going by - you will experience your growth and it's beautiful. You don't have to stress about things, you have to work on them when it's the right time.

You are going to reap what you sow and nurture day by day. It's the only way.

Conclusion

Many successful people have claimed that it's their daily regime, their routine that led them to success. It's not one lucky job or task they've done to be the best. It's their consistency and dedication to what they're doing.

You don't have to believe them, you have to try. Try for a day, then a week, then a month. Write down your goals and go step by step to achieve them. It's only in you to change the way you're living.

Thank you for reading BOI!
