What about Steem > Wordpress?steemCreated with Sketch.

So far it looks like SteemPress is working from Wordpress > Steem, but what about the other way around. Will THIS post show up on DanDann.me? And will it show the upvotes and all that?

Also, Can I get all PREVIOUS posts from Both Channels to transfer over? I mean, can I get all old WP posts over on Steem, and vice versa?

AH, okay, it looks like the upvotes n all that ARE in fact showing up on my wordpress, so that's cool.

K... few more bits to configure.... I'd like to know, if I EDIT the post on the blog, will it update on Steem...

--Steem Edit--

Grr, no, not showing up on Wordpress. That's SUpes annoying. Okay so what do I do then?

--Steem Edit--

But here's a thing I DID learn...
I can create - wait... lemme test this first.

–Wordpress Edit–

Okay, so looks like I can create a post on WordPress, and add the Steem Permalink (and copy/paste the Steem text into the WordPress text area) and then it will …be linked to wordpress. But then yea, all edits from then on would have to be from WordPress I guess? Now lets see if the upvotes show up on WP….

--Steem Edit--

Nope, that DIDN'T work. It linked, but the wordpress update didnt transfer over... I wonder if the STEEM Update will now go to Wordpress? Like, whatever site the article originated on is the site from which all edits need to be made in order to be properly sync'd?? Let's Test...

--Steem Edit--

Nope, that didnt work either. So far I've just been copying and pasting the text from each site over to the other... which isnt the way this is supposed to work. Gonna take a break from that for a moment and see if I can get an existing WP post onto Steem.

--Steem Edit--

Okay... so, the whole creating a new post and linking it crap did NOT work, but what DID work was going to an existing WP post and clicking the bulk edit option to Post to Steem. So that's a thing.

Sort:

There is no intention to make the updates on Steem transfer back to WordPress, as the main point of the plug-in is to let people engage with Steem from their own blogs. It is also convenient for most to be able to make certain edits on Steemit without bringing that to their blog readers too.

The upvotes and comments should be synched well though.

Hm... curious. I... I suppose that will have to do :/

I'd rather have something fully integrated but... so it goes, I suppose.

Oh, any ideas on how to get the tags to show up in a manually selected order @fredrikaa ? Im seeing now that if I publish from Wordpress > Steem, all the keywords are in alphabetical order. Do I jsut have to publish with NO keywords, then add them on the Steem side, and never update from the Wordpress side? Cause... that seems clunky....

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about that but I guess that is how things are. I do understand that.

Sync Problem:

Yeah, the inability to sync is too bad.

Dear Developers

I would encourage developers to reconsider that. I manually copy and paste my Steemit posts to Blogspot, Wordpress, Serey, Weku, etc.

Version 3.0

I end up creating new posts for the edits. I wrote my 2019 year in review. I may someday edit that or write a new one and call it version 2.0 or part 2 or whatever. I may edit posts if I really want to but it can take up resource credits (RC).

Limiting My Edits

So, I prefer to limit how much I edit posts. But I agree with you that it is annoying if you can't update a post across platforms. I'm a perfectionist. I'm a clean freak. But I know that about myself. So, I try to force myself to prematurely publish my work. Like, in my mind, nothing is good enough. So, I can spend hours editing videos, song, memes, articles, and maybe even this comment right here. So, to lazy people, I would encourage them to edit more. But to the artists, I would encourage them to enjoy each moment.

Ha! On Limiting My Edits, too right. Good call.

Sorry for the delayed reply - I was out of reach for a bit.
