We plan on allowing the authors with a pro-version of steempresdto set a custom benefactor on guest comments on their blogs. This also to incentivise them to vote more frequently on nice comments.

perhaps give the guest comments an EMAIL a month later with a link to redeem some steem maybe over @banjo and discord for small amounts, they can buy a steem account from https://steem.ninja if they need an account

This is being worked on right now :). The email reminder will be done as you said pretty much and we will also remind the guest users through our UI that they can get a Steem account to claim their pending rewards at any time.
