A Syrian by Blood, a Filipino by Heart

Last week, I happened to find a really good-hearted and very kind foreigner who lives in the Philippines. Even if he is a Syrian by blood, he is a Filipino by heart.

What touches me more after watching some of his videos on YouTube, because he does vlogging, is the good deeds he continuously does which you can see in his videos. I can sense that he's not just showing off or making his name out there. You can obviously sense his sincerity to help and no pretensions at all.

I hope I could meet him personally because he's just living here somewhere in Las Piñas. He has a milk tea shop and I am planning to visit it before this year ends. By the way, he loves cats and one of them named Maui boy. Maui boy has actually a YouTube channel.

After seeing his videos, something in me changed. Life is not just about accumulating material stuff for yourself. If you find your purpose in life, then light it up and serve it with all your heart and life. The happiness it can bring is limitless and immeasurable. Acquiring material things will make you happy temporarily but it will never last. You will still want more as if nothing can make you satisfy. But if you help, serve, and value your relationship with other people including strangers then you serve God's purpose.

Here is one video that touches me:

Yes, it is better to give than to receive. But I'm not saying that you reject the blessings that you will receive. Just accept it with the gratefulness in your heart and make the world a better place to live in. Do good deeds while you're still here and people will remember not what you have or who you are but what you did to them.

I hope you like it.
