A Grateful Heart
As I stretched out in my warm bed shaking the sleep from my head on the first day of my vacation, I began contemplating all the multitude of things I have to be grateful for. As we approach the holiday season, it is not only a time to hustle and bustle meeting all the obligations that arise during this season, but is a time also to pause and reflect upon all the abundance we have and for the opportunities given to us.
I am the first to admit that far too often I take for granted the precious things in my life and I want to sincerely work towards maintaining a more grateful heart. Not just during the holiday season, but year round as well. There are so many simple things I take as fact, as a certainty, that many people struggle with on a daily basis. Such as running water, clean food, a job, and on and on. It is truly sad when I begin to lose grasp of how much of a blessing each of these things are. Just about any "bad day" in a first-world society can be seen from the perspective of a blessing. For instance, having a flat tire is just reminder that millions of people have to walk everywhere they go. The power going out during a storm is a gentle nudge of the amazing gift that electricity can be. I'm not preaching at anyone, this is 100% pointed at me and sometimes "me" is who I need speaking to me.....lol.
I truly hope everyone has a beautiful holiday season and that we all slow down enough to let that grateful heart beat strong!!! What are you grateful for????

Always good to reflect my man. Hope your holidays are awesome too! As for being grateful for? Definitely the love I have from all my families. The princesses and immediate blood ties and to my fam here on the chain. All have been a major part of my year.
